Sexual health data on transgender and non-binary (TNB) people in the United Kingdom are limited. TNB individuals experience significant socioeconomic and stigma-related disadvantages. Sexual health morbidity and unmet need is likely to be significant.

Singly levitated droplets were ignited using a carbon dioxide laser under an oxygen-argon atmosphere. Pure JP-10 droplets and JP-10 droplets with silicon dioxide of an identical size distribution as the zeolite HZSM-5 did not ignite in strong contrast to HZSM-5-doped droplets.

The program was implemented between April 2015 and February 2017 and aimed to (i) strengthen health worker capacity to provide integrated MHPSS services; and (ii) increase access to mental health services. This paper describes the program's implementation and the results of a pragmatic evaluation of the program's overall reach, effectiveness, and lessons learned.

Design: Stepwise demonstration of LRSD technique with narrated video footage.
Setting: LRSD takes advantage of the submucosal layer of the bowel wall and uses it as an easier line of excision for rectal endometriosis compared with the very difficult traditional line of excision of irregular disease-muscularis interface.
Few research studies have investigated temporal kinematic swallow events in healthy adults to establish normative reference values. Determining cutoffs for normal and disordered swallowing is vital for differentially diagnosing presbyphagia, variants of normal swallowing, and dysphagia; and for ensuring that different swallowing research laboratories produce consistent results in common measurements from different samples within the same population. High-resolution cervical auscultation (HRCA), a sensor-based dysphagia screening method, has accurately annotated temporal kinematic swallow events in patients with dysphagia, but hasn't been used to annotate temporal kinematic swallow events in healthy adults to establish dysphagia screening cutoffs.

Yet, there are few randomized trials demonstrating that reducing SB improves cardiovascular health. The Effect of Reducing Sedentary Behavior on Blood Pressure (RESET BP) randomized clinical trial addresses this gap by testing the effect of a 3-month SB reduction intervention on resting systolic BP.

It is characterized by the presence of hypokalaemic metabolic alkalosis, hypocalciuria, hypomagnesaemia and hyper-reninaemia, in the absence of typical genetic mutations associated with inherited Gitelman syndrome.
Case Presentation: A 20 year old woman who was previously diagnosed with primary Sjögren syndrome and autoimmune thyroiditis presented with two week history of lower limb weakness and salt craving.
Cryptosporidium is an important protozoan parasite and due to its resistance to chlorine is a major cause of swimming pool-associated gastroenteritis outbreaks. The present study combined contact tracing and molecular techniques to analyse cryptosporidiosis cases and outbreaks in Western Australia in 2019 and 2020. In the 2019 outbreak, subtyping at the 60 kDa glycoprotein (gp60) gene identified 89.

Methods: This was a reliability analysis from a cross-sectional study. An independent test set of 39 936 SS-OCT scans from 312 phakic subjects (128 SS-OCT meridional scans per eye) was analysed.
Hip fractures in geriatric patients are associated with substantial morbidity and mortality including postoperative delirium. Few data are available regarding preoperative identification of patients at risk of postoperative delirium before surgical repair of hip fracture. We used the Ultrabrief Two-Item Bedside Test, a proxy for delirium, to identify patients who are likely to have adverse outcomes postoperatively.

The retailer may choose to disclose his cost information to the manufacturers. Using a three-stage game-theoretic model, we derive optimal pricing strategies for each participant, and optimal information sharing strategies, and the optimal level of the value-added services for the retailer.

We assessed variations in these parameters in β-thalassemia syndromes in Sri Lanka. Between November 2017 and June 2018, we assessed children and adults attending two thalassemia centres in Sri Lanka: 59 patients with HbE β-thalassemia, 50 β-thalassemia major, 40 β-thalassemia intermedia and 13 HbS β-thalassemia.

Boundaries of biodiversity hotspots are often delimited intuitively based on floristic endemism and have seldom been empirically tested using actual species distributions, and especially invertebrates. Here we analyse the zoogeography of terrestrial malacofauna from south-eastern Africa (SEA), proposing the first mollusc-based numerical regionalisation for the area.

Methods: We first review the current and projected incidence of cancer within the APAC between 2018 and 2040, and the estimated demand for chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery. We then explore potential ways in which ANZ can increase regional collaborations to improve cancer outcomes.
Background: Severe dengue (SD), experienced by only a fraction of dengue patients, can be lethal. Due to the lack of early markers that can predict the evolution of SD, all dengue patients have to be monitored under hospital care. We discovered early oxidative stress markers of SD to identify patients who can benefit from early intervention before the symptoms appear.

Purpose: Aquaporins (AQPs) facilitate transmembrane osmotic water transport and may play a role in iris fluid conductivity, which is implicated in the pathophysiology of glaucoma. In this study, we compared the iris expression of AQPs and aqueous osmolality between primary angle closure glaucoma (PACG), primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG), and nonglaucoma eyes.
Methods: AQP1-5 transcripts from a cohort of 36 PACG, 34 POAG and 26 nonglaucoma irises were measured by quantitative real-time PCR.
. Adequate upper esophageal sphincter (UES) opening is essential during swallowing to enable clearance of material into the digestive system, and videofluoroscopy (VF) is the most commonly deployed instrumental examination for assessment of UES opening. High-resolution cervical auscultation (HRCA) has been shown to be an effective, portable and cost-efficient screening tool for dysphagia with strong capabilities in non-invasively and accurately approximating manual measurements of VF images.

Background: Emerging cross-sectional reports find that the COVID-19 pandemic and related social restrictions negatively affect lifestyle behaviours and mental health in general populations.
Aims: To study the longitudinal impact of COVID-19 on work practices, lifestyle and well-being among desk workers during shelter-at-home restrictions.
Methods: We added follow-up after completion of a clinical trial among desk workers to longitudinally measure sedentary behaviour, physical activity, sleep, diet, mood, quality of life and work-related health using validated questionnaires and surveys.
