The scope of this study is to understand how State Public Security Plans (PSP) incorporate the perspective of violence prevention and intersectorality, with special attention to the role of the health sector. It is a qualitative study that used the techniques of document and content analysis, having the PSP either implemented or in the formulation stage as empirical material. A total of 14 PSP were identified.

In this study, we sought to investigate the effect of CRT and left ventricular (LV) remodeling on dispersion of repolarization using electrocardiographic imaging (ECGi).
Methods: 11 patients with heart failure and electrical dyssynchrony underwent ECGi 1-day and 6-months post CRT.
Excessive sugar consumption is the main cause of dental caries. Dental caries is highly prevalent and negatively impacts the quality of life at all stages. Furthermore, sugar consumption is associated with other noncommunicable conditions and diseases, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases.

Methods: 305 Portuguese and Brazilian participants who identified as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, and other sexual and gender identities (LGBTQIA+) completed an online survey comprising sociodemographic questions, a set of scales to assess psychological distress, and a set of scales to assess occupational well-being.

Materials And Methods: This experimental study used skeletally immature rabbits as a model for congenital hip dislocation.
Balloon pulmonary angioplasty (BPA) is an emerging treatment for inoperable chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) or residual/recurrent pulmonary hypertension after pulmonary thromboendarterectomy. We report two patients with inoperable and severe CTEPH who were submitted to the BPA programme after optimised treatment with long-term oxygen therapy (LTOT) and pulmonary vasodilator drugs, including prostacyclin analogues. They experienced a significant improvement in exercise capacity, oxygenation, right ventricular function and pulmonary haemodynamics.

Methods: Randomized controlled trials comparing the effects of tDCS with sham, using the Barthel Index (BI), the upper and lower extremity Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA), and the Modified Ashworth Scale (MAS), were retrieved from PubMed, Medline (EBSCO), and Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL) from their inception to June 2021. Calculations for each assessment were done for the overall effect and associated therapy accounting for the influence of stroke severity or stimulation parameters.

Moreover, the implanted scaffolds have been evaluated by MRI protocol in terms of morphology, volume, and signal intensity.
Methods: Twenty patients with symptomatic knee laxity after failed ACL reconstruction and partial medial meniscectomy underwent ACL revision combined with polyurethane-based meniscal scaffold implant.

Background: Surgical site infection (SSI) in open surgical tracheostomy (ST) occurs in up to 33% of the cases. SSI can be reduced by a postoperative antibiotic prophylaxis (POAP). The effect of Clindamycin on SSIs in head and neck surgery (HNS) is discussed controversially in the literature.

This analysis aimed to compare time to deterioration (TTD) in QOL with transarterial radioembolization (TARE) and atezolizumab-bevacizumab, as well as sorafenib, in advanced and unresectable HCC.
Methods: Patient-level data from SARAH (TARE using SIR-Spheres Y-90 resin microspheres [SIR-Spheres] versus sorafenib) and aggregate data from IMbrave150 (atezolizumab-bevacizumab versus sorafenib) randomized controlled trials were used to conduct an anchored matching-adjusted indirect comparison (MAIC).
Background: Bothrops envenomations can often lead to complications, such as secondary infections.
Methods: This cross-sectional study analyzed the medical records of all patients diagnosed with snakebite.
Results: A total of 127 patients were included.
Desf. is recognised as one of most famous medicinal and economic species of Copaiba, occurring in several distinct biomes. An untargeted metabolomic approach was used to evaluate the chemical variability of from contrasting climates biomes (Atlantic Rainflorest and the semiarid Cerrado).

However, little is known about how this influence varies between common and rare species. Based on estimated species richness, we compared alpha and beta diversity patterns of common and rare species in the canopy of the Leipzig floodplain forest to assess their response to vertical stratification and tree species.

Material And Methods: The authors assessed municipal employees of 2 cities in Northern Portugal, in whom serological tests to SARS-CoV-2 and an epidemiological survey were applied. The authors assessed the proportion of individuals presenting IgM and/or IgG antibodies to SARS-CoV-2, and evaluated the association between having positive serological test results, epidemiologic variables and clinical presentations.
Background: During the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, concerns have been arisen on the use of renin-angiotensin system inhibitors (RASI) due to the potentially increased expression of Angiotensin-converting-enzyme (ACE)2 and patient's susceptibility to SARS-CoV2 infection. Diabetes mellitus have been recognized favoring the coronavirus infection with consequent increase mortality in COVID-19. No data have been so far reported in diabetic patients suffering from ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), a very high-risk population deserving of RASI treatment.

Through the pre-clinical chain of experiments: enzymatic, molecular docking, cell-based and in vivo assays, it is demonstrated here that both SARS-CoV-2 B.1 lineage and variant of concern gamma are susceptible to this antiretroviral.

In our study, we characterized a set of 187 tropical maize inbred lines from the public breeding program of the Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV) in Brazil based on 18 agronomic traits and 3,083 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) markers to evaluate whether this set of inbred lines represents a panel of tropical maize inbred lines for association mapping analysis and investigate the population structure and patterns of relationships among the inbred lines from UFV for better exploitation in our maize breeding program.
Results: Our results showed that there was large phenotypic and genotypic variation in the set of tropical maize inbred lines from the UFV maize breeding program.
The world is facing rapid population aging. This is associated with an increase in the number of older people from the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, intersex, or asexual (LGBTQIA+) community. This population faces unique challenges, including ageism, sexual identity stigma, and self-stigma.
