Background: To examine the feasibility and safety of the SENSEI drop-in gamma probe for robot-assisted, prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-radioguided salvage surgery (RGS) in lymph node or local oligorecurrent prostate cancer (PCa), detected via PSMA positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT).

Methods: The first thirteen patients with pelvic oligorecurrent PCa who underwent [Tc]Tc-PSMA-I&S RGS using the SENSEI drop-in gamma probe at the Martini-Klinik (February-June 2024) were retrospectively analyzed. Background: To evaluate how prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels decrease after removal of isolated prostate cancer (PCa) nodal metastases in relation to their diameter/volume ("PSA-density of PCa-metastases") and maximum standardized uptake value (SUV).

Methods: A total of 83 consecutive patients with solitary nodal recurrence after radical prostatectomy who underwent prostate-specific membrane antigen-radioguided salvage surgery were retrospectively analyzed. Using multivariable linear regression models, the PSA-decrease after removal of each PCa-metastases (=PSA-contribution of each PCa-metastases) was correlated with the long axis diameter/estimated volume and the SUV of each removed metastasis.

Background: The authors tested the hypothesis that physiological information from sensors within a minimally invasive, subcutaneous, insertable cardiac monitor (ICM) could be used to develop an ambulatory heart failure risk score (HFRS) to accurately identify heart failure (HF) patients, across the ejection fraction spectrum, at high risk of an impending worsening heart failure event (HFE).

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine performance of ICM-based, multiparameter, dynamic HFRS to predict HFEs in patients with NYHA functional class II/III HF.

Methods: In 2 observational cohorts, HF patients were implanted with an ICM; subcutaneous impedance, respiratory rate, heart rate and variability, atrial fibrillation burden, ventricular rate during atrial fibrillation, and activity duration were combined into an HFRS to identify the probability of HFE within 30 days.

Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) remains the most lethal type of stroke, and effective clinical therapies that can speed up hematoma resolution after ICH are still lacking. While the beneficial effects of IL-10 on ICH recovery have been demonstrated, the clinical translation of IL-10 requires effective delivery methods by which sufficient IL-10 can be delivered to ICH-affected regions in the brain. The Constrained Model of Total Energy Expenditure predicts that increased physical activity may not influence total energy expenditure, but instead, induces compensatory energetic savings in other processes. Much remains unknown, however, about concepts of energy expenditure, constraint and compensation in different populations, and it is unclear whether this model applies to endurance athletes, who expend very large amounts of energy during training and competition. Furthermore, it is well-established that some endurance athletes consciously or unconsciously fail to meet their energy requirements via adequate food intake, thus exacerbating the extent of energetic stress that they experience.

Objectives: To compare the visibility of anatomical structures and overall quality of the attenuation images obtained with a dark-field X-ray radiography prototype with those from a commercial radiography system.

Methods: Each of the 65 patients recruited for this study obtained a thorax radiograph at the prototype and a reference radiograph at the commercial system. Five radiologists independently assessed the visibility of anatomical structures, the level of motion artifacts, and the overall image quality of all attenuation images on a five-point scale, with 5 points being the highest rating.
