The IAIMS concept calls for the logical integration of information derived from databases in the functional areas of administration, clinical care, education, libraries, and research. To accomplish this task a technological base must be established. It is suggested that such an infrastructure will consist of a systems component, the linked databases component, and a management component.

Half- and full-list scores were compared and the statistical analysis provided support for half-list testing with this population. Variability in scores was discussed relative to expected variation based on previous data by Thornton and Raffin (1978).

Speech discrimination testing was completed on 30 adults with varying degrees of sensorineural hearing impairment. Tape recordings of four talkers' utterances of CID W-22 word lists served as the stimulus materials. Listeners' responses were scored independently by three experienced judges.
