Background: After tooth extraction, it is critical to maintain alveolar bone proportions as well as soft tissue integrity for rehabilitation. The common procedure for closing the socket is a coronally advanced flap, however, it compromises the keratinized tissue dimensions. As a result, the current study's goal is to assess and compare the soft tissue dimensional alterations caused by the new palatal rotational pedicle flap versus the conventional coronally advanced flap as an adjunct to alveolar ridge preservation.

Purpose: To evaluate the effectiveness of bupivacaine and lidocaine local anesthesia on the intra-surgical and post-surgical pain control in patients undergoing periodontal flap surgery.
Materials And Methods: A randomized, single-blind, split-mouth design was employed in patients who are scheduled for periodontal flap surgery for at least two similar sextants with similar anesthetic techniques. Background: The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of root coverage through vestibular incision subperiosteal tunnel access (VISTA) technique using platelet rich fibrin (PRF) or subepithelial connective tissue graft (SCTG) in multiple gingival recessions.
Materials And Methods: A total of 20 patients with multiple gingival recessions were included, and 10 subjects were randomly allocated to test group (VISTA with PRF) and 10 patients to control group (VISTA with SCTG). Clinical parameters were recorded at baseline, 3 months, and 6 months.
Individuals with Down syndrome (DS) are susceptible to severe periodontal disease, due to immune alterations related to functional defects of polymorphonuclear leukocytes and monocytes. The adjunctive use of locally delivered antimicrobials has been proven to be beneficial, especially in areas where mechanical therapy might fail. This article describes the management of a patient with DS who had aggressive periodontitis.
