The fabrication of metal-organic framework (MOF) membranes with high propylene/propane selectivity, high mechanical endurance and ease of scaling up always remains a challenge. Inspired by the ubiquitous biological wear-resistant structure, here we show ZIF-67 membranes with a tangential-normal interlaced structure (TN-ZIF-67) for one-step acquisition of polymer-grade propylene, which is endowed with the merits of intergranular defect elimination, partial ZIF-67 lattice flexibility restriction and anti-wear of the membrane surface. The TN-ZIF-67 membrane exhibits an optimal propylene/propane mixture separation factor of 221, and the separation performance remained unchanged after 1.

The ultrasensitive sensor with three optical response mechanisms was proposed for the determination of trace amounts of norovirus using a 3-in-1 GCSNAs (a gap-containing spherical nucleic acid nanoparticles) probe. A simple and highly sensitive three-mode biosensor with Raman, colorimetric, and fluorescence functions was proposed and implemented using the GCSNAs probe and a DNA hydrogel for norovirus detection. When the virus exists, the trans-cleavage activity of CRISPR-Cas12a was activated by double-stranded dsDNA (dsDNA) generated by reverse transcription and recombinase polymerase isothermal amplification (RT-RPA) to degrade the DNA hydrogel/GCSNA composition and release the three-in-one (3-in-1) probe-GCSNA, realising the triple ultrasensitive detection of norovirus.

Plant-based milk alternatives are sustainable, hypoallergenic, and nutrient-rich, but challenges related to their lower bioavailability compared with animal-based milk still exist. In this study, we developed a multiple plant-based milk alternative using germinated soybeans and fermented cereals, and compared the protein digestible behaviors with commercial soy and bovine milk via in vitro gastrointestinal digestion. The multiple plant-based milk alternative possessed a higher level of essential amino acids and amino acid scores than the soy milk and a smaller percentage of low-molecular-weight peptides than the bovine milk.
