Background: It is challenging to simultaneously conduct total endovascular repair and reconstruct the left subclavian artery (LSA) and isolated left vertebral artery (ILVA) in patients who had an ILVA and required zone 2 anchoring. This pilot study reported the initial application experience of thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) with a proximal zone 2 landing for aortic arch reconstruction in patients with ILVA.
Methods: This study was a retrospective consecutive single-center case series analysis, which involved four patients with ILVA who required zone 2 anchoring and received TEVAR combined with a single-branched stent graft and concomitant on-table fenestration between March 2021 and December 2022.

Background: Uniparental disomy is the inheritance of a homologous chromosome pair or part of homologous chromosomes from only one parent. However, the clinical significance of uniparental disomy and the difference among the prognosis of involvement of different chromosomes remain unclear.
Objective: To assess the associated prenatal ultrasound presentations and clinical outcomes of uniparental disomy on different chromosomes and to analyze the relationship between prenatal ultrasound markers and clinical outcomes.
Background: Investigation of fetal cerebral maturation (FCM) is necessary and important to provide crucial prognostic information for normal and high-risk fetuses. The study aimed to develop a valid and quantitative predictive model for assessing FCM using ultrasound and validate the model for fetuses with normal and restricted growth.

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) integration into human genome causes hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The present study used inverse nested PCR; the full sequence of HBV DNA fragments of the chrX: 111009033 integration site was detected (987 bp), containing two fragments of double‑stranded linear DNA with the same orientation (1,744‑1,094 and 1,565‑1,228 nt). By reverse transcription‑quantitative PCR, HBV‑cell fusion transcript was observed in HepG2.

Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is a severe life-threatening disease that is generally asymptomatic and is diagnosed at a very late stage. The genetic component underpinning AAA is considerable, with an estimated heritability of up to 70%. Therefore, identifying genetic biomarkers for AAA is valuable for predicting high-risk populations.

Background: Fetal growth restriction (FGR) occurs in up to 10% of pregnancies and is a leading cause of perinatal mortality and neonatal morbidity. Three-dimensional ultrasonography of intracranial structure volume revealed significant differences between fetuses with FGR and appropriate for gestational age (AGA) fetuses. We aimed to compare the frontal lobe development between fetuses with FGR and appropriately grown fetuses and evaluate the impact of fetal circulatory redistribution (FCR) on frontal lobe development in fetuses with FGR.

Objectives: To investigate the efficacy of intravitreal anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) injection in the treatment of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) and the risk factors for recurrence.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on the medical data of 159 infants with ROP who were born in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University and underwent anti-VEGF treatment from January 2016 to December 2021. According to the presence or absence of recurrence within the follow-up period after initial anti-VEGF treatment, they were divided into a recurrence group with 24 infants and a non-recurrence group with 135 infants.

Background: Double aortic arch is the most common form of complete vascular ring. The trachea and/or esophagus could be compressed by the complete vascular ring, which may lead to early respiratory and/or esophageal symptoms in children with double aortic arch. Accurate prenatal assessment of tracheal compression could provide relevant information for perinatal clinical management of double aortic arch and emergency treatment of infants with double aortic arch.

This study evaluates the short and medium term efficacy of a novel unibody single-branched stent graft for zone 2 TEVAR. Fifty-two patients (mean age, 56 ± 10.

As a result, digital consumption is born, and digital consumption is not only reflected in transaction consumption at the monetary level. Like some intangible services similar to the use of dating software, it can also become digital consumption.

Herein, we aimed to explore the specific mechanism of mA mRNA methylation in endometrial cancer. RT-qPCR was implemented to test the clinical correlation between mA methylation and endometrial cancer.

Methods: This retrospective study included patients with ATAAD who underwent TAR with the frozen elephant trunk (FET) technique between October 2020 and November 2021. Patients treated with direct IA cannulation using a pediatric arterial cannula for selective anterograde cerebral perfusion were included in the study.
Background: Accurate diagnosis of coaractation of aorta (CoA) remains challenging because of its relatively low sensitivity and specificity. It is difficult to distinguish true CoA from a normal physiological right-sided dominance or ventricular discrepancy caused by intracardiac minor anomalies. Redundant foramen ovale flap (RFOF) may cause ventricular disproportion.

Here, we describe the first dual-functional fluorescent probe, , for simultaneously imaging LDs and PAs in distinct fluorescence channels to dissect interplaying roles between LDs and PAs during aging. Notably, based on an intriguing mechanism of hydrogen bonds regulating single bond rotation, selectively detected LDs in a red channel.

Methods: We used the Review Manager software (version 5.
Objective: The objective of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to determine the prognostic value of memory CD8(+) T cells in cancer patients with immunotherapy.
Methods: EMBASE, MEDLINE (PubMed), and Web of Science databases were searched to identify suitabile articles published before March 2021. Risk of bias on the study level was assessed using the Cochrane Bias Risk Assessment Tool.
The aim of this study was to explore the pivotal genes or lncRNAs involved in the progression of atrial fibrillation (AF) -valvular heart disease (VHD). The mRNA profiling GSE113013 was obtained from the Gene Expression Omnibus database. The identification of differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and differentially expressed long non-coding RNAs (DElncRNAs) was performed.

Testis‑specific protein Y‑encoded‑like 5 (TSPYL5), a member of the nucleosome assembly protein (NAP) superfamily, functions as a tumor suppressor in ovarian and lung cancer, yet its clinical significance and molecular mechanism in colorectal cancer (CRC) remain unclear. TSPYL5 expression was analyzed using the Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis (GEPIA) database. CRC cell lines HCT116 and HT29 were forced to overexpress TSPYL5 by transfection with pcDNA3.

Methods: 98 cases of colon adenocarcinoma tissues from patients who underwent colon cancer resection in the Sixth Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University from January 2013 to March 2015 comprised the experimental group, while 71 cases of colon mucosa tissues from patients who underwent colon polypectomy during the same period comprised the control group. qRT-PCR was used to detect the expressions of CD44 and MMP-9 mRNAs in the two groups, in order to analyze their correlation in colon adenocarcinomas, and to also analyze their relationship with clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis.
Brain radiotherapy is the standard treatment option for multiple brain metastases (BMs) from non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), especially in the absence of a driver mutation. However, the prognosis for such patients remains poor. Apatinib is a potent antiangiogenic compound directed at the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-2 (VEGFR-2); however, to date, there are no investigations of apatinib concurrent with brain radiotherapy for NSCLC patients with BMs.
