Enhancer RNAs (eRNAs), a subclass of non-coding RNAs transcribed from enhancer regions, have emerged as critical regulators of gene expression; however, their functional roles in prostate cancer remain largely unexplored. In this study, we performed integrated chromatin accessibility and transcriptomic analyses using ATAC-seq and RNA-seq on twenty pairs of prostate cancer and matched benign tissues. By incorporating chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing data, we identified a subset of differentially expressed eRNAs significantly associated with genes involved in prostate development and oncogenic signaling pathways.

Trigeminal schwannoma (TS) is a rare intracranial neurinoma that affects the multicompartmental skull base. In recent decades, advancements in skull-base neurosurgical techniques and endoscopic surgery have significantly improved outcomes for TS patients. In this study, we present our experience with surgical resection of TS using a further classification system.

species have considerable significance in terrestrial ecosystems, exhibiting a range of ecological lifestyles along the saprotrophism-to-symbiosis continuum. However, the mitochondrial genomes of these ascomycetous fungi have not been thoroughly studied, thereby impeding a comprehensive understanding of their genetic makeup and ecological role. In this study, we analysed the mitogenomes of 30 species, including yellow, black, blushing and false morels.

Background: As an important economic crop, the growth status of the root system of cabbage directly affects its overall health and yield. To monitor the root growth status of cabbage seedlings during their growth period, this study proposes a new network architecture called Swin-Unet++. This architecture integrates the Swin-Transformer module and residual networks and uses attention mechanisms to replace traditional convolution operations for feature extraction.

Three-dimensional coronary magnetic resonance angiography (CMRA) requires reconstruction algorithms that can significantly suppress the artifacts encountered in heavily undersampled acquisitions. While unrolling-based deep reconstruction methods have achieved state-of-the-art performance on 2D image reconstruction, their application in 3D reconstruction is hindered by the large amount of memory required to train an unrolled network. In this study, we propose a memoryefficient deep compressed sensing method that employs a sparsifying transform based on a pre-trained artifact estimation network.

As global oil and gas exploration gradually shifts toward deeper and ultradeep reservoirs, the performance of fluid loss control additives in high-temperature and high-salinity environments faces significant challenges. In this study, a fluid loss control agent, DMAPAN, suitable for high-temperature and high-salinity conditions, was synthesized using ,-dimethylacrylamide (NNDMA), 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid (AMPS), maleic anhydride (MA), and -vinylpyrrolidone (NVP) as monomers via aqueous solution polymerization. Structural characterization and performance testing showed that DMAPAN exhibits good thermal stability and significantly reduces fluid loss at 230 °C.

Background: Osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) is characterised by progressive bone death, leading to joint incongruity and eventual osteoarthritis. Various interventions have been explored to forestall disease progression and delay total hip arthroplasty (THA). Free vascularised fibula grafting (FVFG) has shown promise, particularly in the precollapse stages of ONFH.

Purpose: Personalized ultrafractionated stereotactic adaptive radiation therapy (PULSAR) has emerged as an innovative method for delivering high-dose radiation over extended intervals, adapting treatment based on the patient's response. However, current adaptation largely relies on physicians' experience and tumor size assessment, underscoring the need for a data-driven approach to improve outcome prediction and support decision-making.

Materials And Methods: We analyzed 69 lesions from 39 patients undergoing PULSAR treatment.

Polylactic acid (PLA) is the most promising bio-based alternative to traditional petrochemical plastics across diverse applications. In this study, the biodegradation performance of PLA plastic under two potential end-of-life scenarios: mesophilic and thermophilic anaerobic digestion (AD) were investigated. The biotic and abiotic influence factors were evaluated through short-time exposure experiments.

Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) emerges as a promising non-invasive neuromodulation technique for the treatment of patients with disorders of consciousness (DOC). The selection of rTMS parameters significantly influences the clinical therapeutic effects. However, the differences in spatiotemporal responsiveness of the brain under different rTMS stimulation frequencies remain unclear.

Introduction: Crop straws provide substantial biomass resources that are transformable for sustainable biofuels and valuable bioproducts. However, the natural lignocellulose recalcitrance results in an expensive biomass process and secondary waste liberation. As lignin is a major recalcitrant factor, genetic engineering of lignin biosynthesis is increasingly being implemented in bioenergy crops, but much remains unclear about the desired lignocellulose alteration and resulting function.

The strategy "Borrow strength to exert" in Sun Tzu's Art of War refers to borrowing external forces to withstand the enemy. Inspired by this, applying this thought to cancer treatment can achieve a more efficient therapeutic effect. Therefore, a fulcrum to borrow the force is vital and significant.

Introduction: Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers in the United States with a high mortality rate. In recent years, the traditional opinion about prostate microbiome was challenged. Although there still are some arguments, an escalating number of researchers are shifting their focus toward the microbiome within the prostate tumor environment.

Reducing excess electrolytes offers a promising approach to improve the specific energy of electrochemical energy storage devices. However, using lean electrolytes presents a significant challenge for porous electrode materials due to heterogeneous wetting. The spontaneous wetting of nano- or meso-pores within particles, though seldom discussed, adversely affects wetting under lean electrolyte conditions.

A short heat treatment (HT, 90 °C-100 °C, 5 min) was applied to two-phase anaerobic digestion (TPAD) of pig manure (PM) to investigate its effect on microbial inactivation in the acidified feedstock during the methanogenic phase. The results showed that no differences in biogas production at organic loading rate (OLR) below 4.28 g volatile solid (VS)/(L·d).

Intramuscular fat is an essential component of muscle tissue, and understanding its contribution to skeletal muscle fat infiltration and meat quality, together with the underlying genetic mechanisms, is a major topic in pig husbandry. However, the composition of cell types and gene expression profiles essential for this purpose remain largely unexplored. Here, we performed single-cell transcriptome analysis on muscle tissue from adult pigs and identified 15 cell types, including three previously uncharacterized types of adipocytes: Adipocyte 1, Adipocyte 2, and Aregs.

Background: Dysbiosis of the lung microbiome can contribute to the initiation and progression of lung cancer. Synchronous multiple primary lung cancer (sMPLC) is an increasingly recognized subtype of lung cancer characterized by high morbidity, difficulties in early detection, poor prognosis, and substantial clinical challenges. However, the relationship between sMPLC pathogenesis and changes in the lung microbiome remains unclear.
