Objective: To evaluate the activity of cefiderocol against sequential P. aeruginosa isolates from chronically-infected cystic fibrosis patients as well as to investigate the potential mechanisms involved in resistance through whole genome sequencing.
Methods: Three sequential P.
In October 2017, most European countries reported unique atmospheric detections of aerosol-bound radioruthenium (Ru). The range of concentrations varied from some tenths of µBq·m to more than 150 mBq·m The widespread detection at such considerable (yet innocuous) levels suggested a considerable release. To compare activity reports of airborne Ru with different sampling periods, concentrations were reconstructed based on the most probable plume presence duration at each location.

The MitraClip device (Abbott Vascular) is approved for percutaneous mitral valve repair in high-risk and non-operative patients, and has also been used for tricuspid valve repair. Imaging support for percutaneous edge-to-edge tricuspid valve repair has not been reported and is a vital part of the procedure.

Radioactive emissions into the atmosphere from the damaged reactors of the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant (NPP) started on March 12th, 2011. Among the various radionuclides released, iodine-131 ((131)I) and cesium isotopes ((137)Cs and (134)Cs) were transported across the Pacific toward the North American continent and reached Europe despite dispersion and washout along the route of the contaminated air masses. In Europe, the first signs of the releases were detected 7 days later while the first peak of activity level was observed between March 28th and March 30th.

Neurologic complications are some of the most common and devastating complications in these patients. Preoperative carotid ultrasound is, therefore, a standard evaluation in patients at risk for cerebrovascular disease.

In 2008, three experimental sites - PP1, PP2, PP3 - were sampled in oak ecosystems from Maleshevska Mountain at 900 m above sea level. Samples from grass species and oak tree leaves, branches with different diameter, wood disks and bark were analyzed for (137)Cs activity with gamma-spectrometry.

During the period from January 1985 until May 1990, 56 pregnant women with malformed uterus were observed for the clinical curse of pregnancy: 22 women in the first, 26 in the second and 8 in the third trimester. The diagnosis was made by complex investigations: vaginal examination--in 48 cases, ultrasound examination-in 51 cases, previous hysterosalpingography--in 14 cases. In 17 women the performance of a cerclage was needed.

The aim of the present study is to establish whether there is difference in the concentration of lead in the blood of the pregnant women with missed abortion in comparison with women with normally developing pregnancy in the same gestational age. There were examined 35 patients with missed abortion and a control group of 26 women with normal pregnancy in the same gestational age.
