Introduction: Deficits in emotional perception are common in autistic people, but it remains unclear to which extent these perceptual impairments are linked to specific sensory modalities, specific emotions or multisensory facilitation.
Methods: This study aimed to investigate uni- and bimodal perception of emotional cues as well as multisensory facilitation in autistic ( = 18, mean age: 36.72 years, SD: 11.
Background: When receiving mismatching nonverbal and verbal signals, most people tend to base their judgment regarding the current emotional state of others primarily on nonverbal information. However, individuals with high-functioning autism (HFA) have been described as having difficulties interpreting nonverbal signals. Recognizing emotional states correctly is highly important for successful social interaction.

Recent studies suggest that microRNAs contribute to psychiatric disorder development. In BD, specific candidate microRNAs have been implicated, in particular miR-137, miR-499a, miR-708, miR-1908 and miR-2113.

Dysregulation of neuroplasticity and calcium homeostasis are frequently observed in BD patients, but the underlying molecular mechanisms are largely unknown. Here, we show that miR-499-5p regulates dendritogenesis and cognitive function by downregulating the BD risk gene CACNB2.

We show that they also promote their own capturing. Similar to what governs the localization of spindle assembly checkpoint proteins, the phosphorylation of Spc105 by Mps1 allows unattached kinetochores to sequester Stu1 in cooperation with Slk19.

Histopathology of an early lesion showed a subepidermal cleft under a regular epidermis with single necrotic keratinocytes and normal dermal structures. In an advanced lesion, a subepidermal bulla and caterpillar bodies were found in the epidermis.
