Switzerland is facing a growing demand for primary care services. Nurse practitioners (NP) could play a key role in addressing the current challenges in the healthcare system by participating in new models of care. International studies support this approach, showing that nurse practitioners improve access to care, reduce costs, and increase patient satisfaction.

However, existing instruments for measuring person-centred practice often lack theoretical underpinnings and comprehensive assessment. The Person-centred Practice Inventory - Staff (PCPI-S) and the Person-centred Practice Inventory - Care (PCPI-C) were developed in English to measure clinicians' and patients' experience of person-centred practice.

Methods: Using a 2-group sequential pre/post-intervention design, the sample comprised 68 pre-intervention control group and 70 post- intervention group participants. The discharge teaching intervention by trained clinical nurses used structured tools to engage patients and individualize discharge teaching.
Previous studies have shown that penalty-takers' body language affects the impressions that goalkeepers form about them and their anticipation performance. This research aimed to replicate these results and test the mediating effect of threat/challenge responses on the relationship between impression formation and the quality of goalkeeper decision-making. We report 2 experiments.

Design: Hybrid type 3 trial.
Methods: A discharge teaching intervention for older adults was implemented in medical units from August 2020 to August 2021 with 30 nurse participants.
Background: Care quality varies between organizations and even units within an organization. Inadequate care can have harmful financial and social consequences, e.g.

Here we present NanoForkSpeed, a nanopore sequencing-based method to map and extract the velocity of individual forks detected as tracks of the thymidine analogue bromodeoxyuridine incorporated during a brief pulse-labelling of asynchronously growing cells. NanoForkSpeed retrieves previous Saccharomyces cerevisiae mean fork speed estimates (≈2 kb/min) in the BT1 strain exhibiting highly efficient bromodeoxyuridine incorporation and wild-type growth, and precisely quantifies speed changes in cells with altered replisome progression or exposed to hydroxyurea.

But did you know that more than half of patients forget the information discussed with professionals after hospital discharge ? Preparing hospital discharge is a difficult time to provide teaching: older patients are often overwhelmed with a lot of information and stressed about going home. This article presents an interprofessional tool to interact with patients in a concrete way and to engage them in their discharge preparation.

The energy from this process often induces surface disordered sites on the micronized particles with potential consequences for the long-term stability of the drug substance. In this study, two lots of the same drug substance were qualitatively determined to have different extents of disordered surface using dynamic vapor sorption and scanning electron microscopy.

In systemic circulation, pictilisib represented the predominant total radioactivity greater than 86.

However, available disease-specific teaching guidelines do not address the cumulative complexity of multiple chronic diseases that occur with greater frequency in older adults. Therefore, there is a need for a discharge teaching intervention which uses concepts that specifically address the needs of these patients, such as considering their level of activation (i.

Therefore, we present a CS and Robotics integration model and its validation through a large-scale pilot study in the administrative region of the Canton Vaud in Switzerland. Approximately 350 primary school teachers followed a mandatory CS continuing professional development program (CPD) of adapted format with a curriculum scaffolded by instruction modality.

Rapid and informed guidance of epidemic (research) responses to severe infectious disease outbreaks requires quick compilation and integration of existing pathophysiological knowledge. As a case study we chose the Zika virus (ZIKV) outbreak that started in 2015 to develop a proof-of-concept knowledge repository.

This research studied the influence of multiple social identities on the emotions that athletes felt toward their teammates/partners and opponents. Athletes (N = 714) from individual and team-based sports reported their identification both as athletes of the sport and as athletes of their club before reporting their precompetitive emotions. The results showed that these multiple social identities influenced precompetitive emotions toward different targets, with higher levels of sport identification associated with increased positive and decreased negative emotions toward opponents and higher levels of club identification associated with increased positive and decreased negative emotions toward teammates/partners, although increased club identification was also associated with more positive emotions toward opponents.

Suboptimal care can have deleterious consequences for patients such as lengthened hospital stay, nosocomial infection, pressure ulcers or death. Experts recommend the implementation of nursing performance improvement systems to assess team performance and monitor patient outcomes and efficiency savings.

Method: From January 2, 2010 through February 29, 2012, 180 children and adolescents younger than 17 years were hospitalized in a total of 261 stays in the emergency psychiatric ward of University hospital of Saint-Étienne (France). We assessed clinical and sociodemographic characteristics of these patients and traced any of their return visits to the same unit through December 31, 2012.
Harmful consequences of self-stigma in schizophrenia are well established in the literature, but its relationship with symptomatology remains unclear. Self-stigma describes the process by which some patients eventually accept, adhere to and apply to themselves the stereotypes associated with schizophrenia. This study aims to describe self-stigma experienced by people with schizophrenia in French-speaking Switzerland and to examine the relationship between self-stigma and depression.

The efficacy of drug-based treatments and psychological interventions on primary negative symptoms remains limited. The Positive Emotions Programme for Schizophrenia (PEPS) is designed to improve pleasure and motivation in schizophrenia patients by targeting emotion regulation and cognitive skills relevant to apathy and anhedonia.

Within this area, multi-'omics datasets on complex diseases are becoming more readily available and there is a need to set standards and good practices for integrated analysis of biological, clinical and environmental data. We present a framework to plan and generate single and multi-'omics signatures of disease states.

Background: Most insights into the cascade of immune events after acute respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection have been obtained from animal experiments or in vitro models.
Methods: In this study, we investigated host gene expression profiles in nasopharyngeal (NP) swabs and whole blood samples during natural RSV and rhinovirus (hRV) infection (acute versus early recovery phase) in 83 hospitalized patients <2 years old with lower respiratory tract infections.
Results: Respiratory syncytial virus infection induced strong and persistent innate immune responses including interferon signaling and pathways related to chemokine/cytokine signaling in both compartments.
