Graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) has garnered considerable attention in the field of photocatalysis due to its suitable bandgap (~2.7 eV), abundant elemental composition, high chemical stability, and environmentally friendly synthesis process. Two novel phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE-5) inhibitors were detected in pressed candy using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)-diode array detection. Following extraction with acetonitrile and sonication, the compounds were isolated and purified semi-preparative liquid chromatography. Structural characterisation was achieved through high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy.

A new tadalafil analogue was detected via high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)-diode array detection (DAD) during routine screening of health foods suspected of adulteration with erectile dysfunction drugs. The UV absorption spectrum of the unknown was almost identical to that of tadalafil. The analogue was purified by preparative HPLC and structural elucidation carried out by mass spectrometric and NMR spectroscopic experiments.

Objective: To develop an assay methodology for determination of lumbrukinase potency in Rongshuan capsules.

Method: The agarose-fibrin plate assay methodology for determination of Lumbrukinase potency in Rongshuan capsules was studied including durability, specificity, linearity range, product's handling method, accuracy , repetitiveness, solution stability, recovery and statistical method. The method of parallel line assay based on quantitative responses in statistical methods for biological assays was used in the statistics of potency assay.
