Repairing large-area soft tissue defects caused by traumas is a major surgical challenge. Developing multifunctional scaffolds with suitable scalability and favorable cellular response is crucial for soft tissue regeneration. In this study, we developed an orthogonally woven three-dimensional (3D) nanofiber scaffold combining electrospinning, weaving, and modified gas-foaming technology.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTriple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) represents the most challenging subtype of breast cancer. Studies have implicated an upregulation of lipid synthesis pathways in the initiation and progression of TNBC. Targeting lipid synthesis pathways may be a promising therapeutic strategy for TNBC.

Stromal decidualization is a very complex process that is co-regulated by estrogen, progesterone and many local factors. The signaling protein SHP2 encoded by PTPN11 is dynamically expressed in decidualized endometrial stroma and mediates and integrates various signals to govern the decidualization.

Our previous studies demonstrated that the signal integration protein Gab2 is a potential drug target for the prevention and therapy of liver cancer. Here, we screened for and identified two miRNAs that target Gab2 to suppress the proliferation and migration of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells.

Methods: In this study, we designed a retrospective cohort study to examine the association between intradialytic BPV and CVD outcomes in HD patients. A total of 202 patients who underwent HD in our center were included, and all intradialytic BP measurements of November 2017 were obtained from the database.

Background: Low serum parathyroid hormone (PTH) level and secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT) are very common in hemodialysis patients. However, the outcomes of patients with low PTH level or SHPT have not been carefully compared. Therefore, in the present study, we compared the outcomes of hemodialysis patients with low PTH level or SHPT.

Objective: To provide the cut-off scores in detecting MCI and dementia of the Peking Medical Union College Hospital version of the MoCA (MoCA-P).
Background: Based on the excellent medical care and management system for Chinese veterans, as well as the detailed medical documentation available, we aim to construct a Chinese Veteran Clinical Research (CVCR) platform on non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and carry out studies of the primary disabling NCDs.
Methods: The Geriatric Neurology Department of Chinese People's Liberation Army General Hospital and veterans' hospitals serve as the leading and participating units in the platform construction. The fundamental constituents of the platform are veteran communities.

The study was aimed to investigate the expression of preferentially expressed antigen of melanoma (PRAME) gene in adult acute leukemia and its clinical significance. The expression of the PRAME gene of bone marrow was measured by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) in 73 adult newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients, 3 relapsed patients, 7 patients with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) and 8 healthy donors, as well as two AL cell-lines (K562 and U937). The results indicated that PRAME mRNA was expressed in 42.
