Objectives: Fear of falling is a psychological issue that adversely impacts the health of elderly individuals. The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation among positive coping styles, psychological resilience, and fear of falling in older adults. The mediating role of psychological resilience was also investigated.

Effects of vitamin D supplementation on muscle strength in middle-aged and elderly individuals: a retrospective, propensity score-matched study.

Introduction: The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of vitamin D supplementation on the muscle strength of the elderly.

Methods: This retrospective, propensity score-matched study included 160 middle-aged and elderly individuals from a community in Beijing, China. The control group (n=110) received health education and lifestyle guidance, while the intervention group (n=50) was given oral vitamin D supplementation in addition to health education and lifestyle guidance.

Physical and psychological status of emergency assistance personnel at major public health events: a qualitative descriptive study.

Background: Many personnel respond to natural disasters like earthquakes and tsunamis and frequent public health events like Ebola and COVID-19. However, research on emergency assistance personnel remains limited. This study aims to describe the perceived well-being among responders deployed in isolated or emergency international missions while providing practical references to intervene in developing similar missions.
