The broad application of various pesticides guarantees the development of agriculture all over the word but has ultimately led to their ubiquitous release into the environment as hazardous chemical residues. Diamide insecticides (DAIs) are regarded as new choice for prevention and protection of agricultural crops and city landscaping plants from the pests in more and more countries. However, their presence in fine particulate matter (PM) and associated health risks have not been studied.

Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) has drawn increasing attention as a highly persistent organic pollutant. The inherent stability, rigidity and potential toxicities characteristics make it a challenge to develop efficient technologies to eliminate it from water. Photocatalytic technology, as one advanced method, has been widely used in the degradation of PFOA in water.

As one of the most important transportation hubs and industrial bases in China, Zhengzhou has suffered from serious PM pollution for a long time. However, the investigation of contamination status and possible exposure risks of environmentally persistent free radicals (EPFRs) in PM from Zhengzhou is rare. In this work, a comprehensive study of pollution levels, seasonal variations, sources, and potential health risks of PM-bound EPFRs in Zhengzhou was conducted for the first time.

The dissipation and residue levels of emamectin benzoate emulsifiable concentrate (EC) and microemulsion (ME) formulations in tender cowpeas and old cowpeas were investigated under field conditions. The decline curves of emamectin benzoate residues in cowpea corresponded to first-order kinetics. The dissipation rate of emamectin benzoate in tender cowpeas was faster than that in old cowpeas.

As a natural enemy of green peach aphids, harlequin ladybirds, Harmonia axyridis Pallas (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae), are also indirectly affected by azadirachtin. In this study, we evaluated the effects of ladybird exposure to azadirachtin through azadirachtin-treated aphids. About 2 mg/L azadirachtin treated aphid can deliver the azadirachtin to ladybird larvae in 12 and 24 h.
