The Phosphatases of Regenerating Liver (PRLs) are members of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) superfamily that play pro-oncogenic roles in cell proliferation, migration, and survival. We previously demonstrated that PRLs can post-translationally downregulate PTEN, a tumor suppressor frequently inactivated in human cancers, by dephosphorylating PTEN at Tyr336, which promotes the NEDD4-mediated PTEN ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation. Here we report that PRLs can also reduce PTEN expression by upregulating MicroRNA-21 (miR-21), which is one of the most frequently overexpressed miRNAs in solid tumors.

With the advent of the "post-pilot era" of traditional Chinese medicine formula granules, there are still a series of policy, technical, and industrial issues that need to be addressed in their production, regulation, and application practices. This article systematically reviews the development history and relevant policy evolution of traditional Chinese medicine formula granules, and summarizes the current industrial status in terms of quality standards, medical insurance payments, and market landscape. Based on a comparative analysis and positioning discussion between traditional Chinese medicine formula granules and traditional herbal decoctions, it is believed that the following practical issues still exist in this field:(1)A reasonable competitive evolution mechanism has not yet been formed, making it difficult to "improve quality and efficiency" of products;(2)The number of national standards is limited, and local standards operate independently;(3)Production processes are relatively constrained;(4)There is a contradiction between fixed equivalents and fluctuations in raw materials;(5)Market positioning needs to be clarified, and medication scenarios are limited.

Achieving a more balanced charge transport by morphological control is crucial in reducing bimolecular and trap-assisted recombination and enhancing the critical parameters for efficient organic solar cells (OSCs). Hence, a facile strategy is proposed to reduce the crystallinity difference between donor and acceptor by incorporating a novel multifunctional liquid crystal small molecule (LCSM) BDTPF4-C6 into the binary blend. BDTPF4-C6 is the first LCSM based on a tetrafluorobenzene unit and features a low liquid crystal phase transition temperature and strong self-assembly ability, conducive to regulating the active layer morphology.

To learn about the gene structure, phylogenetic evolution, and function under biotic and abiotic stresses of BTB (Bric-a-Brac/Tramtrack/Broad Complex) genes in , a whole-genome sequence evaluation was carried out, and a total of 62 genes were identified. The phylogenetic analysis showed that PfBTB proteins are divided into eight groups, and these proteins are highly conserved. genes were unevenly distributed on 17 chromosomes.

Cold stimulation dynamically remodels mitochondria in brown adipose tissue (BAT) to facilitate non-shivering thermogenesis in mammals, but what regulates mitochondrial plasticity is poorly understood. Comparing mitochondrial proteomes in response to cold revealed FAM210A as a cold-inducible mitochondrial inner membrane protein. An adipocyte-specific constitutive knockout of Fam210a (Fam210a) disrupts mitochondrial cristae structure and diminishes the thermogenic activity of BAT, rendering the Fam210a mice vulnerable to lethal hypothermia under acute cold exposure.

Mitochondria are not only essential for energy production in eukaryocytes but also a key regulator of intracellular signaling. Here, we report an unappreciated role of mitochondria in regulating cytosolic protein translation in skeletal muscle cells (myofibers). We show that the expression of mitochondrial protein FAM210A (Family With Sequence Similarity 210 Member A) is positively associated with muscle mass in mice and humans.
