Category learning theories have typically focused on how the underlying category structure affects the category representations acquired by learners. However, other factors such as type of feedback may also affect what representations are learned and utilized, but have received little attention. We used a novel "5/5" categorization task developed from the well-studied 5/4 task and held category structure constant while varying type of feedback: verbal correct/incorrect feedback in Experiment 1, and rewarded differential point-valued feedback in Experiment 2.

We used a prototype category-learning task to examine the effects of between- and within-category similarity and knowledge of the number of stimuli to be studied on study sequencing choices during self-regulated learning. Across three experiments (including a complete replication), participants who viewed the number of stimuli in each category showed more interleaving in comparison with those who did not, indicating that participants adjusted their strategy based on the projected length of the study phase.

We evaluated factors affecting TSH levels in elderly SCH, establishing a composite reference interval, and comparing it with traditional one in diagnosis.
Methods: We collected data on patients aged ≥60 undergoing physical examinations in Chengdu, screening the influencing factors associated with TSH.
acts both as a colonizing commensal bacterium and invasive pathogen. Nasal colonization is associated with an increased risk of infection caused by the identical strain. In patients with atopic dermatitis (AD), the degree of colonization is associated with the severity of the disease.

Based on the developmental-ecological model of student engagement and relevant theoretical frameworks, this study used the quantitative analysis method to construct a chain mediation model to test the relationship between parental educational involvement and the learning engagement of middle school students, as well as the potential mediating role of gratitude and hope. This study employed a cross-sectional study using whole-cluster random sampling to measure middle school students aged 11-18 years old in two schools over a one-week period.

The level of anti-factor Xa is not up to standard after LMWH prophylaxis in patients with surgery or trauma. The condition of critically ill patients is complicated, and the proportion of patients with low antithrombin III is high, which can affect the prophylactic efficacy of LMWH and contribute to VTE occurrence.

Methods : We performed a study between January and December 2023. Eligible patients with ROSC following cardiac arrest were enrolled.

Different from the traditional AOA model based on azimuth and elevation measurements, the AOA model studied in this paper uses bearing measurements. It is also often used in the Ultra-Short Baseline system (USBL).

This study is a randomised controlled trial to investigate the effect of aFXa level monitoring on reducing VTE and to establish a new method for accurately preventing VTE in critically ill patients with low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH).
Methods And Analysis: A randomised controlled trial is planned in two centres with a planned sample size of 858 participants.
Background: RNA 5-methylcytosine (m5C) methyltransferases is a member of the NOP2/SUN (NSUN) RNA methyltransferase family. Studies have found that the expression of is elevated in breast and colon cancer and can predict poor prognosis. However, the gene has only been studied in a few tumors.

This study attempted to determine the alterations in NET components in post-CA patients as well as analyze the association of NETs with 28-day all-cause mortality. Methods : In this study, 95 patients with restoration of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) after CA were included.

To improve the interfacial compatibility between cement matrix and expanded polystyrene (EPS) in core-shell lightweight aggregates (CSLA), the effects of sodium silicate, polyvinyl acetate (PVA) emulsion, vinyl acetate-ethylene (VAE) emulsion, acrylic acid, and acetic acid on the cement-EPS interface were investigated. The density of the interface was studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and the effect of interfacial agents on the hydration process of cement was studied by the heat of hydration and induction resistivity. The macroscopic properties of the interface of the CSLA were characterized by the "leak-white" rate, drop resistance, and numerical crushing strength.

The Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) is usually equipped with multiple sensors, such as an inertial navigation system (INS), ultra-short baseline system (USBL), and Doppler velocity log (DVL), to achieve autonomous navigation. Multi-source information fusion is the key to realizing high-precision underwater navigation and positioning. To solve the problem, a fusion scheme based on factor graph optimization (FGO) is proposed.

With new evidence suggesting a similar neuroprotective effect of 36 °C and 33 °C, the term "therapeutic hypothermia" was substituted by "targeted temperature management" in 2011, which in turn was replaced by the term "temperature control" in 2022 because of new evidence of the similar effects of target normothermia and 33 °C. However, there is no clear consensus on the efficacy of therapeutic hypothermia.

They can be used as carriers of cancer therapeutic drugs and have natural delivery capabilities. Some biologically active substances on exosomes, such as major histocompatibility complex (MHC), have been shown to be involved in exosome-mediated anticancer immune responses and have important regulatory effects on the immune system.

In the presence of GSH, Rho-GSH undergoes sequential nucleophilic substitution and spiro-ring-opening reaction, resulting the fluorescence increase of probe, which enables quantitative detection of GSH with "off-on" fluorescence. The cascade reaction also enables Rho-GSH to rapidly detect GSH (3 s).

Nitric oxide (NO), an essential biological messenger molecule, participates in various physiological and pathological processes. The sensitive and specific detection of NO is of great significance for understanding the biological function of NO. Here, we synthesized a fluorescent probe (Rho-NO) for highly selective detection of NO both in vitro and in vivo.
