Article Synopsis
  • A nomogram was created to predict stent dysfunction after TIPS placement in patients with hepatitis B cirrhosis, aiming to improve patient outcomes.
  • A study involving 355 patients identified key risk factors like diabetes and previous splenectomy for building this predictive model.
  • The nomogram demonstrated strong predictive ability and clinical usefulness, with good accuracy in both training and validation groups.

Objective: To build and assess a pre-treatment dual-energy CT-based clinical-radiomics nomogram for the individualized prediction of clinical response to systemic chemotherapy in advanced gastric cancer (AGC).

Methods: A total of 69 pathologically confirmed AGC patients who underwent dual-energy CT before systemic chemotherapy were enrolled from two centers in this retrospective study. Treatment response was determined with follow-up CT according to the RECIST standard.

The contrast medium (CM) induced nephropathy required new CT imaging protocol. This study evaluated the feasibility of low contrast medium (CM) volume and injection flow using aortic dual-energy CT (DECT) angiography with non-linear blending technique. Sixty patients were randomly assigned to two groups: control group (n=30), single-energy CT 70 ml CM at injection rate of 5 ml/s; study group (n=30), DECT mode, 0.
