Background: Studies show that tube feeding does not improve clinical outcomes, and professional guidelines recommend against its use for individuals with advanced dementia. Yet, our preliminary work demonstrates a preference for tube feeding among Chinese-American dementia caregivers. We propose linguistic and cultural adaptation of "Making Choices: Feeding Options for Patients with Dementia (MCFODA) to create the Chinese version of this efficacious decision aid intervention.

Prenatal exposure to hazardous environmental pollutants is a critical global concern due to their confirmed presence in umbilical cord blood, indicating the ability of pollutants to cross the placental barrier and expose the fetus to harmful compounds. However, the transplacental transfer efficiencies (TTEs) of many pollutants remain underexplored. Herein, we developed a liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method to quantitatively analyze 91 environmental pollutants, including 13 bisphenols (BPs), 18 organophosphorus flame retardants (OPFRs), 7 brominated and other flame retardants (BFRs), 34 phthalates (PAEs), and 19 per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs), in paired maternal and cord serums.

The study presents a multi-functional and semiconductor polymer poly[bis(3-hexylthiophen-2-yl)thieno[3,4-c]pyrrole-4,6-dione] (PBDTTPD) doping strategy that significantly enhanced the performance of the two-terminal all-perovskite tandem perovskite solar cells (T-PSCs). The realization of low thermal conductivity at high temperatures (0.11 W m K 800 °C) in ambient air in a porous solid thermal insulation material, using stable packed nanoparticles of high-entropy spinel oxide with 8 cations (HESO-8 NPs) with a relatively high packing density of ≈50%, is reported. The high-density HESO-8 NP pellets possess around 1000-fold lower thermal diffusivity than that of air, resulting in much slower heat propagation when subjected to a transient heat flux.
