Invasive mucinous adenocarcinoma (IMA) was formerly referred to as mucinous bronchioloalveolar carcinoma. The lack of effective chemotherapy and comprehensive treatment for this type of tumor poses a great challenge in clinical practice. We herein report the case of a male patient with IMA who was treated with a combination of pemetrexed (500 mg/m), cisplatin (75 mg/m) and bevacizumab (15 mg/kg) as first-line chemotherapy.

Chronic intermittent hypoxia (IH) contributes to obstructive sleep apnea (OSA)-related cardiovascular diseases through increasing oxidative stress. It has been widely recognized that estradiol decreases the risk for cardiovascular disease, but the estrogen replacement therapy is limited for its side effects. Thioredoxin (Trx) and its endogenous inhibitor, thioredoxin-interacting protein (Txnip), are associated with the protective effect of estradiol in some conditions.
