The sulfidization-xanthate flotation process has been used commercially with some success in recovering azurite, but it remains unsatisfactory in terms of the environmental impact and flotation index. To remediate these deficiencies, this study evaluated the flotation performance of sodium trithiocarbonate (NaCS) as a green sulfidizing agent for azurite. Flotation test results demonstrated that NaCS has the same efficacy as sodium sulfide but markedly superior activation performance.

Background: The efficacy of laminectomy procedures is contingent on the method of resection. The objective of this study was to investigate the impact of different methods of resection on the surgical safety of automated laminectomy robots, an area that remains uncharted.
Methods: Lamina resection surgeries using both drilling and layer-by-layer methods, are performed on ovine spinal samples.
Background: Growth rods are the gold standard for treating early-onset scoliosis (EOS). However, current treatments with growth rods do not optimize spinal growth in EOS patients, and frequent distraction surgeries significantly increase complications, imposing considerable economic and psychological burdens on patients. An improved growth rod is urgently required to address the need for dynamic growth and external regulation.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted, encompassing 570 cases of CAG patients admitted to the Department of Gastroenterology of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, who underwent gastroscopy and received pathologically confirmed diagnoses between June 2018 and June 2023. Additionally, 570 cases without CAG who underwent health checkups were included and classified into the control group.
In athletes' competitions and daily training, in order to further strengthen the athletes' sports level, it is usually necessary to analyze the athletes' sports actions at a specific moment, in which it is especially important to quickly and accurately identify the categories and positions of the athletes, sports equipment, field boundaries and other targets in the sports scene. However, the existing detection methods failed to achieve better detection results, and the analysis found that the reasons for this phenomenon mainly lie in the loss of temporal information, multi-targeting, target overlap, and coupling of regression and classification tasks, which makes it more difficult for these network models to adapt to the detection task in this scenario. Based on this, we propose for the first time a supervised object detection method for scenarios in the field of motion management.

This study aimed to assess the relationship between egg intake and obesity and the effects of the various nutrients in eggs on obesity were separately investigated. This review involved searching Scopus, PubMed, Google Scholar for relevant articles from 2002 to 2022.

Methods: A systematic search was conducted across databases, including BMJ Best Practice, UpToDate, WHO, GIN, UK NICE, NGC, SIGN, RNAO, NCCN, JBI Library, Cochrane Library, CINAHL, Web of Science, Embase, OVID, PubMed, Chinese Wanfang, CNKI, SinoMed, and VIP, covering publications from inception through June 30, 2024. We targeted clinical decisions, guidelines, evidence summaries, expert consensus statements, systematic reviews, and randomized controlled trials related to PFMT for LARS in patients with rectal cancer.
Background: Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infections leading to a variety of diseases are a global public health issue.Despite the well-established link between HPV infection and cervical and anogenital cancers, there is ongoing debate regarding the relationship between HPV infection and colorectal cancer (CRC).
Methods: We evaluated the causal connection between HPV infection and CRC utilizing five Mendelian randomization (MR) methods.

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and colorectal cancer (CRC), as two of the major human intestinal diseases, provide challenges for the medical field. Suppressor of cytokine signaling 3 (SOCS3), a protein molecule that negatively regulates cytokine signaling through multiple pathways, is involved in the regulation of various inflammatory diseases and tumors. In IBD, SOCS3 acts on a variety of cells to repair mucosal damage and balance the immune response, including epithelial cells, macrophages, dendritic cells, neutrophils, and T cells.

Databases including Web of Science, PubMed, The Cochrane Library, Embase, CNKI, Wan Fang, and VIP were electronically searched for studies on the use of cyclosporine in the treatment of psoriasis, from inception to March 2024. Two reviewers independently screened the literature, extracted data, and assessed the risk of bias of the included studies.

Currently, there is no validated biomarker to assess patients at risk of HPD.
Aim: The aim of this study was to systematically evaluate the predictive value of the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) in HPD and establish a reliable variable to support clinicians in defining personalized treatment strategies.

The fluxional nature of halogen bonds (XBs) in small molecular clusters, supramolecules, and molecular crystals has received considerable attention in recent years. In this work, based on extensive density-functional theory calculations and detailed electrostatic potential (ESP), natural bonding orbital (NBO), non-covalent interactions-reduced density gradient (NCI-RDG), and quantum theory of atoms in molecules (QTAIM) analyses, we unveil the existence of fluxional halogen bonds (FXBs) in a series of linear (ICFI)(OONCHNOO) (m + n = 2-5) complexes of tetrafluorodiiodobenzene with dinitrobenzene which appear to be similar to the previously reported fluxional hydrogen bonds (FHBs) in small water clusters (HO) (n = 2-6). The obtained fluxional mechanisms involve one FXB in the systems which fluctuates reversibly between two linear CI···O XBs in the ground states (GS and GS') via a bifurcated CI ON van der Waals interaction in the transition state (TS).

Recent advancements in nutritional formulas containing components such as glutamine, omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, and arginine have led to the development of what is now termed immune nutrition or pharmacological nutrition. These formulations go beyond traditional nutritional support, functioning more like nutritional supplements with pharmacological effects.

Hard carbon (HC) is a promising anode material in alkali metal ion batteries owing to its cost-effectiveness, abundant sources, and low working voltage. However, challenges persist in achiving prolonged cycling stability and consistent capacity, and the sodium storage mechanism in HC is still debated. Herein, an unreported biomass precursor, "sisal," for deriving hard carbon is developed.

Bioenvironmental and biological factors have the potential to contribute to the development of glioma, a type of brain tumor. Recent studies have suggested that a unique circular RNA called circCSNK1G3 could play a role in promoting the growth of glioma cells. It does this by stabilizing a specific microRNA called miR-181 and reducing the expression of a tumor-suppressor gene known as chromobox protein homolog 7 (CBX7).

Background: The study aimed to examine the association between the systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), a contemporary metric of systemic inflammatory response, and biological aging, which are closely interconnected processes.
Methods: This cross-sectional study utilized 10 cycles of data from the NHANES database spanning from 1990 to 2018. The study examined the relationship between the SII index, calculated as P * N/L, where P represents preoperative peripheral platelet count, N represents neutrophil count, and L represents lymphocyte count, and biological aging.
