2-Octyl cyanoacrylate, a topical adhesive used for wound closure, is becoming a common cause for rashes in postsurgical patients. There is an increased number of cases of postsurgical contact dermatitis attributable to 2-octyl cyanoacrylate. Localized skin reactions to 2-octyl cyanoacrylate have been described in different case reports, but there are limited case reports of diffuse cutaneous allergic reactions.

The relevance of serum albumin among elderly patients with acute decompensated heart failure.

Objective: To assess the prognostic utility of serum albumin among elderly patients admitted for acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF) in terms of all-cause mortality and also to identify the predictors of hypoalbuminemia.

Methods: Retrospective cohort study of 119 elderly patients admitted for ADHF. Elderly patients were defined as patients over the age of 65 years.
