Sacubitril/valsartan is a first-in-class angiotensin receptor-neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI) that is now preferred in guidelines over angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs) or angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs) for patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF).
