Background: Obesity is a prevalent metabolic disorder that significantly contributes to insulin resistance (IR), type 2 diabetes (T2DM), and metabolic syndrome. Sleeve gastrectomy has emerged as an effective surgical intervention for obesity, with potential benefits on metabolic health.
