Combination targeted therapy with vemurafenib and cobimetinib has proved effective for metastatic melanoma. However, severe cutaneous adverse reactions have been reported, most frequently not only drug rash with eosinophilia and systemic syndrome but also rare Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) cases. We report a case of life-threatening episode of TEN following metastatic melanoma targeted therapy with vemurafenib and cobimetinib, with a long but successful patient recovery.

Objective: To identify the frequency of notifications of interpersonal violence in Espírito Santo from 2011 to 2018, and the factors associated with this issue.

Methods: This is a cross-sectional study in which all cases of interpersonal violence from the Information System for Notifiable Diseases in the state of Espírito Santo during the period from 2011 to 2018 were analyzed. Absolute and relative frequencies and 95% confidence intervals were calculated, as well as Poisson regression.

Consequently, it is a very promising vehicle to deliver vitamins, such as folate (vitamin B9), to a specific population using biofortified varieties generated by conventional or molecular breeding. Peribiliary cysts: uncommon mimickers of hepatic and biliary cystic lesions.

Peribiliary cysts (PC) are dilatations of the extramural peribiliary glands, with a very characteristic imaging pattern in the contexts of hepatobiliary diseases, idiopathic portal hypertension, adult-type polycystic disease of the liver and kidneys, solitary nonparasitic cysts, and systemic infections. The clinical relevance of PC is related to the fact that their presence may indicate underlying pathologies (such as those mentioned above) and may be considered as a potential marker of liver disease progression. Although imaging findings are quite characteristic, recognizing their main differential diagnoses, including malignancies, can be challenging but are essential to avoiding diagnostic errors.

In this work, aerogel renders were enhanced with fibres for use in new building walls, emphasising a Mediterranean climate. The main novelty of the study relies on an integrated evaluation of the aerogel-based fibre-enhanced thermal renders from environmental, energy and economic approaches. Therefore, optimum insulation thicknesses, life cycle savings, payback periods, abiotic depletion potential from fossil fuels (ADP-ff) and global warming potential (GWP) impacts were quantified as a function of the energy consumption.

A comprehensive integrated dataset on Brazilian health facilities: from 2005 to 2021.

Objectives: The National Registry of Healthcare Facilities is a system with the registry of every healthcare facility in Brazil with information on the capacity building and healthcare workforce regarding its public or private nature. Despite being publicly available, it can only be accessed in separated disjoint tables, with different primary units of analysis. The objective is to offer an interoperable dataset containing monthly data from 2005 to 2021 with information on healthcare facilities, including their physical and human resources, services and teams, enriched with municipal information.

Dataset on infant mortality rates in Brazil.

Objectives: Surveillance of infant and fetal deaths is of paramount importance in thinking about government strategies to reduce these rates, provide greater visibility of these mortality figures in the country, enable the adoption of prevention measures, as well as contribute to a better record of deaths.

Anatomy and Imaging of Accessory Liver Lobes: What Radiologists Should Know.

Although the liver may present a range of congenital anomalies, often involving shape irregularities or the number of lobules, less common variations include the presence of accessory liver lobes (ALL), consisting of a supernumerary lobe of normal hepatic parenchyma in continuity with the liver. This paper reviews the embryology, frequency, anatomy, and types of ALL. Furthermore, we describe computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging findings in a range of such cases, including those simulating disease or presenting with complications.
