Environmental challenges are rarely confined to national, disciplinary, or linguistic domains. Convergent solutions require international collaboration and equitable access to new technologies and practices. The ability of international, multidisciplinary and multilingual research teams to work effectively can be challenging.

Campaigns such as GOAmazon 2014/2015 and the Amazon Tall Tower Observatory collect essential data on aerosols, gases, cloud properties, and meteorological parameters in the Brazilian Amazon basin. These data products provide insights and essential information for analyzing and predicting natural processes.

We tested the hypothesis that these unexplained biogeographical patterns reflect former ecosystem rearrangements sustained by widespread plant migrations possibly due to climatic patterns that are very dissimilar from present-day conditions. To address this issue, we mapped the presence of the montane arboreal taxa Araucaria, Podocarpus, Drimys, Hedyosmum, Ilex, Myrsine, Symplocos, and Weinmannia, and cool-adapted plants in the families Myrtaceae, Ericaceae, and Arecaceae (palms) in 29 palynological records during Heinrich Stadial 1 Event, encompassing a latitudinal range of 30°S to 0°S.

Paget's disease of bone (PDB) is a chronic progressive disorder of bone metabolism that may go undetected for many years, and endocrinologists should be alert to its clinical signs and promptly diagnose and treat PDB before it results in irreversible complications, such as deformity, fracture or neurological sequelae. Most commonly, PDB is suspected upon the incidental finding of elevated serum alkaline phosphatase levels or a radiographic abnormality in an otherwise healthy individual above 55 years of age. Some of these individuals may have symptoms such as bone pain or enlargement with increased warmth.

Intravenous zoledronic acid (ZA) has emerged as an effective and safe treatment option for patients with Paget's, leading to sustained remission and improved quality of life. A previously untreated 61-year-old female presented with 2-year history of facial asymmetry with progressive hearing impairment.

Hypophosphatemia is also a hallmark of JMC, and recently, increased fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23) levels have been reported in this syndrome. Hypercalcemia has been associated with increased cardiovascular risk; however, cardiovascular disease has not been extensively investigated in JMC patients.

NSHPT represents the most severe expression of FHH and courses as a life-threatening condition. The aim of this study was to identify and characterize a CASR mutation in a female infant brought to the health service due to dehydration, apathy, lack of breast feeding and severe hypercalcemia.

An 8-month-old boy was seen by an Endocrinologist due to obesity and low growth velocity. Noteworthy, his mother exhibited typical Albright hereditary osteodystrophy (AHO) phenotype.

Several other bone properties that influence its resistance to fractures and explain this discrepancy have been defined as "bone quality". Bone quality is determined by its structural and material properties and orchestrated by bone turnover, a continuous process of renewal through which old or damaged bone is replaced by a mechanically healthy bone and calcium homeostasis is maintained.
