Adalimumab is a biological agent, one of the tumour necrosis factor-alpha inhibitors. Pivotal studies evaluating its efficacy in plaque psoriasis (CHAMPION, REVEAL) and psoriatic arthritis (PsA) (ADEPT) were carried out in recent years. Adalimumab proved highly effective in psoriasis patients and in PsA patients previously unresponsive to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
