In this study 14 novel hydrazide-hydrazones of 5-bromo-2-iodobenzoic acid (3-16) were synthesized on the basis of condensation reaction. The chemical structure of obtained derivatives was established on the basis of spectral data (H NMR and C NMR) and the lipophilicity of synthesized molecules was determined with the use of RP-HPTLC chromatography. Synthesized hydrazide-hydrazones (3-16) were subjected to in vitro cytotoxicity assay and antimicrobial activity analysis against a panel of bacteria and fungi.
