Background/aims: Head and neck cancer (HNC) describes a range of malignant tumours that arise from the epithelium of the mucous membranes in the head and neck region, including the oral cavity, pharynx, larynx, nasal cavity, and paranasal sinuses. The anterolateral thigh flap (ALT) constitutes very good reconstructive material due to the long vascular pedicle, the appropriate diameter of vessels, the large skin island plane, and thickness depending on requirements.
