Background: Aneurysms of the deep lower limbs veins are extremely rare. Diagnosis of such conditions may be confusing and suggest the presence of a neoplastic lesion.
Case Presentation: We herein report a case of a 68-year-old woman who was admitted with a large vein tumour revealed by sonography and computed tomography.

Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) has become tremendously popular in recent years. However, the long-term results of these stent grafts are uncertain and are still being evaluated. According to some data, the graft-related complication rate after EVAR could be as high as 43% in long-term observation.

One of the most common aspects of this disease is the occurrence of varicose veins. There are many ways of prevention and treatment of varicose veins, but in Poland the leading one is still surgery.

It is now widely used in reconstructive surgery following extensive tumour resection in head and neck cancer. Routine preoperative perforator mapping is recommended due to variability of the vascular anatomy of the flap.

However, potential long-term complications of this technique could be life-threatening. Hemoptysis is a common symptom of lung tumor, especially cancer.

On the other hand, endovascular treatment of thoraco-abdominal aneurysms, which started 10 years ago, reduced perioperative mortality and morbidity. However, it results in a high level of late complications.

The anterolateral thigh (ALT) flap is frequently used in ablative head and neck surgery, providing superior functional and aesthetic restoration with a minor donor-site morbidity. However, flap failures do occur occasionally, vascular obstruction within first 24 postoperative hours is one of the main reasons of flap compromise.

Aneurysms of renal arteries, abdominal aorta and iliac arteries seem to be very rare. We present a patient after renal transplantation with aneurysms of both stumps of the renal arteries, abdominal aortic aneurysm and aneurysms of common iliac arteries.

She underwent a complex cardiovascular surgery consisting of aortic valve implantation, RCA grafting and implantation of vascular bifurcated graft anastomosed between ascending aorta and brachiocephalic trunk and LCA. The multi-slice computed tomography performed two weeks after the operation revealed preserved grafts patency.

According to the approved classification of vascular lesions by Glowacki and Mulliken, hemangiomas and vascular malformations are distinguishable. Hemangiomas usually appear during the first days or weeks after birth and grow faster than the whole body of the infant.

Extracranial internal carotid artery aneurysm is not a frequent finding. Although there are a number of methods used for the treatment of this kind of pathology, every approach should be tailored to the patient. The authors describe the case of a patient with a large extracranial internal carotid artery aneurysm presenting as a tumor of the parapharyngeal space, treated with a stent-graft.

Methods: Sixty-three patients with vascular prostheses infections underwent treatment. Either the infected fragments or the entire prosthesis was removed in all of the patients.
Background: The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of two different doses in 28-day L-arginine oral supplementation on nitric oxide (NO) concentration and total antioxidant status (TAS) in patients with atherosclerotic peripheral arterial disease at Fontaine's stages II and III.
Material/methods: 32 patients were divided into 2 groups receiving L-arginine at 3i2 g/day (group A) or 3i4 g/day (group B). Nitric oxide concentration was determined with the testing set provided by Oxis using a Hyperion Micro Reader.
Unlabelled: The aim of the study was the retrospective ultrasound Doppler evaluation the patients with recurrent varicose veins after surgery of the short saphenous vein incompetence. This study was performed in 35 patients (42 limbs). Mean interval between the time of operation and ultrasound Doppler evaluation was 4.

Material/methods: 49 patients scheduled for open cholecystectomy, with a median age of 43, were randomly assigned to either the heparin group (HG) or the placebo group (PG). HG patients received a subcutaneous dose of 100 IU/kg body weight of standard heparin for 6 days, beginning the first day after surgery.
Despite the enormous progress that has been madein the fields of vascular surgery and intensive care, reconstructive surgery of renal arteries in the presence of arteriosclerosis of the abdominal aorta remains a serious therapeutic problem and is associated with a high rate of complications. The purpose of this study was to analyze the results of treatment of patients with renovascular hypertension and so-called difficult aorta. Surgery was carried out in 68 patients with a critically stenosed renal artery and severe arteriosclerosis of the abdominal aorta.
