Dynamic covalent polymers (DCPs) recently emerged as smart siRNA delivery vectors, which dynamically self-assemble through siRNA templating and depolymerize in a controlled manner. Herein, we report the dynamic combinatorial screening of cationic and amphiphilic peptide-based monomers. We provide experimental evidence, by mass spectrometry analyses, of the siRNA-templated formation of DCPs, and show that amphiphilic DCPs display superior activity in terms of siRNA complexation and delivery in cells.

Intravenous thrombolysis in a stroke patient with a repaired aortic dissection.

Acute aortic dissection is considered a contraindication to the use of intravenous thrombolysis in patients presenting with acute ischaemic stroke, but less has been described about previously repaired dissections. We present a case of a woman in her 50s presenting with acute left hemiparesis with a known history of aortic dissection within the thrombolysis window. After multidisciplinary discussion with cardiothoracic surgery and discussion with the patient, she was treated with intravenous thrombolysis without complication.

Lumpy skin disease (LSD) has emerged as a threat to cattle production in Asia, and India has been facing LSD epidemics since 2019. Although water buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) is susceptible to natural LSDV infection, there have been no confirmed reports of LSDV infection in water buffalo in India. Data integration analysis using latent components showed the high resilience phenotype was associated with lower depression and anxiety symptoms, higher frequency of bacterial transcriptomes (related to environmental adaptation, genetic propagation, energy metabolism, anti-inflammation), increased metabolites (N-acetylglutamate; dimethylglycine), and cortical signatures (increased resting state functional connectivity between reward circuits and sensorimotor networks; decreased grey matter volume and white matter tracts within the emotion regulation network).
