Background: Laparoscopic totally extraperitoneal (TEP) repair and transabdominal preperitoneal (TAPP) repair are standard laparoscopic procedures for inguinal hernia repair. Some evidence has shown that pneumoperitoneum can cause an increase in intraocular pressure (IOP) during surgery.
