Detection of water in organic solvents gained much importance as these solvents have been used as a medium for conducting organic reactions and water was considered as an inhibitor, when it is present in the reaction medium. There are number of methods available to measure the water content in organic solvents, however, such methods are time consuming and expensive. Here, we developed a facile method for detecting water in organic solvents using an inexpensive fluorescent probe - Rhodamine B decorated Graphene oxide (RBGO).
