Patients And Methods: Thirty-six patients with breast (n = 23) or prostate (n = 13) cancers and high risk for bone metastases were prospectively evaluated. All patients underwent 2 PET/CT studies after IV and oral 18 F-NaF administration within a 2 to 23 days interval between them.
This article assesses the relationship between consumer vulnerability (CV) and well-being (WB) by comparing the effects of ordinary (non-pandemic) and pandemic consumption contexts among Portuguese and Brazilian consumers. Data on pre-and post-pandemic perceived vulnerability and well-being from a cross-cultural sample of 397 consumers were analyzed through structural equations modelling using the PLS-Path. The results revealed an inverse relationship between CV and well-being, which worsened with the emergence of the pandemic.

Objective: To evaluate the maximum and mean standardized uptake values, together with the metabolic tumor value and the total lesion glycolysis, at the primary tumor site, as determined by F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron-emission tomography/computed tomography (F-FDG-PET/CT), performed before and after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (nCRT), as predictors of residual disease (RD) in patients with esophageal cancer.
Materials And Methods: The standardized uptake values and the volumetric parameters (metabolic tumor value and total lesion glycolysis) were determined by F-FDG-PET/CT to identify RD in 39 patients before and after nCRT for esophageal carcinoma. We used receiver operating characteristic curves to analyze the diagnostic performance of F-FDG-PET/CT parameters in the definition of RD.

Gibboryctes Endrödi, 1974 (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Dynastinae: Oryctini) is an uncommon Neotropical genus comprising five valid species (Gasca-Álvarez Ratcliffe 2011; Dupuis 2019). Endrödi (1974) established the genus based on Gibboryctes szelenyii Endrödi, 1974 and defined it by the absence of sexual dimorphism; short, triangular, and pointed clypeus; bidentate mandibles projected beyond the anterior clypeal margin; and protibiae quadridentate. After that, Gibboryctes waldenfelsi (Endrödi, 1977) and Gibboryctes gracilicornis (Prell, 1912) were assigned to Gibboryctes, from Strategus Kirby, 1828 and Heterogomphus Burmeister, 1847, respectively (Ratcliffe Dechambre 1983; Dupuis Dechambre 2008).

Purpose: To compare the F-NaF PET/CT studies (F-NaF) with other imaging methods in the detection of skeletal metastases (SM) in patients with medullary thyroid cancer (MTC).
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 31 patients with MTC who performed F-NaF to assess SM. The results of the F-NaF were compared with other imaging methods performed for metastasis detection: Tc-MDP bone scan (BS), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), contrast-enhanced CT (CT), and Ga-Dotatate and F-FDG PET/CT studies.
Context: The increase in the population aging has brought more significant concern about how proper care will be provided to the elderly in the future. Thus, the development of technological solutions for the health domain has gained more prominence. Joining this scenario to the growing use of mobile devices for daily activities, several mobile applications focused on the elderly healthcare have been developed with healthcare and software engineer professionals involved.
