We report the case of a 51-year-old patient who presented with tiredness and leg swelling, with recurrent pericardial effusion; a right atrial tumor, suggestive of sarcoma, was diagnosed, which responded poorly to chemotherapy. In the absence of metastases, surgery for excision of the tumor was undertaken. Two months after surgery she had a new recurrence of pericardial effusion and chemotherapy was reinitiated.
