Needs, parenting practices, and dissemination of information on social-emotional skills and development of infants.

Objectives: to describe the development of a technological innovation designed to identify needs, parental practices, and disseminate information on social-emotional skills and development of infants from the perspective of family members of infants on the social-emotional development of children.

Methods: a report on the development of an innovation consisting of an educational group and a card game on social-emotional skills and development of infants. A spider-web concept map, content analysis and the Bioecological Theory of Human Development as a theoretical reference were used for data analysis.

Educational workshops about bonding with the fetus during pregnancy: a clinical trial.

Objective: To verify if participation in educational workshops about bonding with the fetus influences the adoption of practices of interaction with the baby by pregnant women.

Method: Randomized clinical trial conducted in a health clinic. The experimental group participated in educational workshops designed for the pregnant couple and the control group received usual care.

Risk and protective factors for sudden infant death syndrome.

Objectives: To verify the occurrence of the risk and protective factors for sudden infant death syndrome during nursing consultation.

Methods: Retrospective cohort study conducted based on medical records from a primary care unit in the municipality of São Paulo. The sample consisted of 63 infants assisted from January to December 2016.

Nursing diagnoses in primary health care consultations to newborns.

Objective: To describe and analyze nursing diagnoses established on newborns' medical consultations in a primary health care service.

Method: Descriptive, analytical and quantitative study performed in a primary health care clinic in São Paulo. Data were collected from the medical records of 37 children treated in 39 nursing consultations during their neonatal period.

[Facing the difficult experience even with support: the underage adolescent experiencing motherhood].

Objectives: To understand the meaning of childcare for the underage adolescent mother, to reveal the demands of care and to build a theoretical model based on this experience.

Method: Qualitative research with symbolic interactionism as the theoretical framework and the grounded theory as the methodological framework; nine adolescents participated in the study. The semi-structured interview was used to collect data from September 2008 to September 2011, during paediatric nursing consultation at the Centro Assistencial Cruz de Malta, a philanthropic institution in the city of São Paulo/Brazil.

[Maternity in adolescence: a dream come true and future expectation].

This qualitative study aimed at describing the reasons that motivate an adolescent to get pregnant and her expectations about the future after the child's birth. Symbolic Interactionism was used as theoretical framework and Grounded Theory as the methodological one. Eight adolescent mothers aged between 15 and 19 years who lived the experience of caring for their children took part in the study.

[Adolescent mother experiencing child care: a theoretic model].

The study aimed to comprehend the meaning for the adolescent mother of experiencing care with her child and the construction of a theoretic model that is representative of this experience. The strategies employed were participant observations and a semi-structured interview. Eight adolescent mothers who had become mothers between 15 and 19 years old took part in the study.
