Fungal infective endocarditis is a rare and serious form of endocarditis associated with severe morbidity and mortality. The greatest propensity for infection can be found in patients with implanted prosthetic valves, implanted cardiac devices, and intravenous drug use. We present a case of a 45-year-old male with a prior bioprosthetic mitral valve who was diagnosed with endocarditis.

Atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter are common during cancer therapy but should rarely limit continued delivery of therapy. It is known to commonly cause differentiation syndrome, but an association with cardiovascular complications is not well established.
Case Report: We present the case of a 34-year-old female with relapsed acute myeloid leukemia post-allogeneic transplant who developed ivosidenib-induced differentiation syndrome complicated by myopericarditis and cardiogenic shock.
Background: The mitral annulus (MA) is a crucial structure that is in constant motion throughout the cardiac cycle. The main purpose of this study was to determine if M-mode evaluation of the longitudinal motion of the MA could be useful to examine atrio-ventricular interactions.
Methods: Echocardiographic data obtained from 150 patients (mean age 56 ± 16; 82 males) from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine was evaluated to examine if any relationship exists between MA motion and measures of atrio-ventricular interactions.
