Modified Tripier flap in reconstruction of the lower eyelid.

We describe the use of modified Tripier flap for reconstruction of a surgical defect in the lower eyelid region, after excision of nodular basal cell carcinoma.

A lesion suspected of melanoma by dermoscopy: we must trust this diagnostic tool.

Background: The incidence of cutaneous melanoma is increasing worldwide and early diagnosis is essential since the prognosis is poor in advanced stages of disease. Dermoscopy emerged as an additional and important diagnostic procedure for the early diagnosis of cutaneous melanoma.

Main Observation: We report a case of a 52-year-old man, who developed a pigmented lesion in the right pretibial region.

Eosinophilic ulcer of the oral mucosa.

A 56-year-old woman presented with a painless lesion on the inner aspect of her upper lip. The clinical differential diagnoses were oral syphilitic chancre, tuberculosis, histoplamosis, and neoplasia. A biopsy was performed, and the histopathologic diagnosis revealed an eosinophilic ulcer of the oral mucosa.
