Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates the ideal position of the umbilicus (belly button) in male cosmetic abdominoplasty, focusing on its anthropometric measurements to improve surgical outcomes.
  • Researchers found a strong correlation between umbilicus position relative to the anterior axillary fold and nipple positions, suggesting that these reference points are better for determining umbilicus placement than relying only on the abdominal crease.
  • The results propose a new predictive equation (U-AX = 1.618 × N-N) for umbilicus repositioning that emphasizes the aesthetic unity of the chest and abdomen in male patients.
