The critically endangered Yellow-breasted Bunting has undergone population collapse globally because of illegal hunting and habitat deterioration. It was listed as critically endangered (CR) by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in 2017 and designated a Class I (highest level) national conservation bird species in China in 2021. Birdsong in the breeding season is the main communicative signal under sexual selection, and song variations have long been considered critical evidence of divergence among subspecies or populations.

Epoxy Based Blends for Additive Manufacturing by Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) Printing: The Effect of Blending and Dual Curing on Daylight Curable Resins.

Epoxy-based blends printable in a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) printer were studied. Diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) mixed with Diethyltoluene diamine (DETDA) was used due to the easy processing in liquid form at room temperature and slower reactivity until heated over 150 ° C. The DGEBA/DETDA resin was mixed with a commercial daylight photocurable resin used for LCD screen 3D printing.

Intermetallic communication in titanium(IV) ferrocenyldiketonates.

A tetradentate bis(ferrocenyldiketonate) ligand, Fc(2)BobH(2), is prepared via Claisen condensation of acetylferrocene and 2,2'-biphenyldiacetyl chloride, and is metalated with titanium(IV) isopropoxide to give (Fc(2)Bob)Ti(O(i)Pr)(2) in good yield. The isopropoxide groups are replaced with di(4-nitrophenyl)phosphate groups on treatment with the corresponding acid, and with chlorides on treatment with trimethylsilyl chloride. Metathesis with catechol leads to the bis(o-hydroxyphenoxide) complex rather than the chelating catecholate complex.
