Purpose Of Review: The purpose of this review is to summarize new literature regarding the description, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric deep neck abscesses.
Recent Findings: Providers should include multi-inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) in a differential diagnosis in children suspected of having a retropharyngeal abscess. MRI may guide the proper management of children with deep neck abscesses by more accurately detecting free fluid compared to computed tomography imaging.
Tonsillectomy is one of the most common procedures performed in children, however there are currently no published studies evaluating tonsillectomy in children with 22q11.2 deletion syndrome (22q11DS). With this study, our goal was to investigate the indications, efficacy, and complications of tonsillectomy in a pediatric cohort of patients with 22q11DS.

Objective: The internal carotid artery (ICA) lies in close anatomic proximity to the oropharynx and is at risk for injury in the instance of intraoral trauma. The objectives of this study are to describe the position of the ICA relative to the oropharynx and identify patient risk factors related to its position.
Methods: A total of 100 patients aged 12 months to 7 years 11 months who received computed tomography (CT) of the neck were randomly selected.

This bibliometric analysis summarizes the most-cited articles on CCFs and highlights the contributing articles to today's evidence-based practice.
Methods: In the execution of this bibliometric-based review article, the Scopus database was used to perform a title-specific, keyword-based search for all publications until June 2022.
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is the most common neurodevelopmental disorder in childhood. Current treatment options for ADHD include pharmacological treatment (stimulants, non-stimulants, anti-depressants, anti-psychotics), psychological treatment (behavioral therapy with or without parent training, cognitive training, neurofeedback), and complementary and alternative therapies (vitamin supplementation, exercise). Central nervous system (CNS) stimulants are the primary pharmacological therapy used in treatment; however, these stimulant drugs carry a high potential for abuse and severe psychological/physical dependence.
