Background And Aim: Any harmful act Physical, sexual, or psychological committed against the nurses in the workplace by a patient or visitor is called workplace violence (WPV) against nurses. WPV is directly related to decreasing job satisfaction, burnout, humiliation, guilt, emotional stress, intention to quit a job, and increased staff turnover. The purpose of this narrative review is to explore the concept of WPV, its prevalence, consequences, influence on nursing, and strategies developed to prevent such incidences.

Although EBV seropositivity is ubiquitous among adults, a spike in antibodies against select EBV proteins is a harbinger of NPC. A serologic survey would likely reveal which EBV antibodies could discriminate those at risk of developing NPC.

In this study, we selected 29 β-PEA derivatives and determined their structure-activity relationship (SAR) to their ability to inhibit dopamine (DA) reuptake; conducted docking simulation for two selected compounds; and identified their potential functionals. The compounds were subdivided into arylethylamines, 2-(alkyl amino)-1-arylalkan-1-one derivatives and alkyl 2-phenyl-2-(piperidin-2-yl)acetate derivatives.

BACKGROUND The relatively new autoimmune disorder, anti-myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) disease is particularly interesting because of its broad range of presentations. This entity's appearance on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the brain often makes identifying this disease a challenging process. Younger patients tend to present with an acute disseminated encephalomyelitis picture, with encephalopathy and multifocal neurological signs, while older patients are more likely to present with optic neuritis.

Cefepime-Induced Nonconvulsive Status Epilepticus in a Pediatric Patient with Normal Renal Function.

Cefepime, a fourth-generation cephalosporin, is known to risk the induction of neurotoxic impairment from confusion to nonconvulsive status epilepticus (NCSE). Neurotoxic effects of cefepime are most commonly evident in the setting of impaired renal function in adults; however, are rarely present in those with normal renal excretion function or in the pediatric population. We present a case of a 16-year-old female with a complicated past medical history but no accounts of impaired renal function yet, after starting cefepime, presented with encephalopathy, intermittent stimulus-induced posturing, and was found to have NCSE.

DermatoFibroSarcoma Protuberans: A case report of a complete cure.

DermatoFibroSarcoma Protuberans (DFSP) is a rare recurrent fibrohistiocytic tumor. Given the limitation of available diagnostic modalities in a resource poor setting, diagnosis can be confusing. Anterior cutaneous nerve entrapment syndrome is one of the frequent causes of abdominal wall pain occurring due to trapped thoracic intercostal nerves between abdominal muscles.

Hepatic Encephalopathy Induced Transient Cortical Blindness.

Hepatic encephalopathy describes a spectrum of potentially reversible neuropsychiatric abnormalities seen in a patient with severe liver dysfunction with porto-systemic shunting. Cortical blindness can be a rare presentation of hepatic encephalopathy and can even precede the onset of altered sensorium. We report a case of 57 years female with chronic liver disease who presented with bilateral loss of vision, with no focal neurological deficits.
