Better understanding how behavioral health professions students were impacted by COVID-19 can help educators inform their education practices. The present study examined the impact of COVID-19 among = 83 students enrolled in two universities across five graduate-level behavioral health training programs - clinical mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychiatric nursing, and social work. Participants completed the Epidemic-Pandemic Impacts Inventory (EPII), and descriptive statistics were examined.

Motivated by shifts in epidemiologic landscapes and evolving guidelines moving away from a fistula-first approach and to more patient-centric approaches, the objective of this randomized controlled trial was to fill critical knowledge gaps in determining the optimal vascular access for this complex patient population. We outline the challenges encountered in patient recruitment along with measures employed to overcome these obstacles in recruitment.

Using two public databases (licensed nurses and registered voters), the findings for 73.7% of all licensed nurses registered to vote are reported, including 18,894 APRNs, 30,731 LPNs, and 137,353 RNs.

Purpose: Despite their dangerous side effects, opioid drugs remain a standard of care for moderate to severe pain with few alternatives. Strategies to maintain the analgesic effects of opioids while minimizing the associated risks are needed. Pre-clinical studies have shown using a dopamine 3 receptor (D3R) agonist as an adjuvant to morphine provides superior analgesia against painful stimuli compared to morphine alone.

However, a clear understanding of how behavioral health graduate trainees experience virtual simulation as part of an interprofessional SUD training is still needed.
Method: Graduate-level health professions students ( = 69) from four different behavioral health disciplines completed an interprofessional training program, including completion of two virtual simulations, that addressed SUD screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment (SBIRT) and teamwork topics using an interprofessional lens.
Background: A nurse's perspective is unique and invaluable to health policy. Although political astuteness is essential for nurses and nurse educators to be effective participants in health policy, there is a gap in the nursing literature on civic knowledge and its potential relationship to political astuteness.
Purpose: This research aimed to assess the civic knowledge and self-reported political astuteness of academic nurse educators, their associated factors, and the relationship between these two concepts.
With nurses at the forefront of health care, the need for their active engagement in policy has never been more urgent. Numerous national and global reports call for nurses to lead policy change. The Patton Zalon Ludwick Policy Assessment Framework is intended to answer this call by serving as a foundational guide to nurses' self-assessment of their health policy actions.

This study explored alcohol licensing legislations and licensing systems across local government councils (LGC) in South-West, Nigeria.
Methods: Twenty-four LGCs across three states participated in the study.
Background: Maple syrup is a sought-after commodity, and used as a condiment and a sweetener. Also, it is an active target of economically motivated adulteration (EMA), similar to other foods such as lemon juice and honey.
Objective: This study is aimed to detect low cost sugar adulteration in maple syrup via an internal standard method using malic acid through solid-phase extraction (SPE) and LC with isotope ratio mass spectrometric detection (LC-IRMS).
The indigenous chicken production system (ICPS) has several use values and ecosystem services. In the last few years, ICPS has been recognized for its possible contribution to household food security, income generation, wildlife protection, and bettering the women's lives. This study aimed to collect, for the first time, comprehensive information about ICPS in three different agro-ecologies (tropical, sub-tropical, and sub-temperate) of the Indian Himalayan Region (IHR) and its role in food and economic security of traditional communities.

The purpose of the present research was to examine 6-month outcomes of a training program focusing on opioid use among families, for master-level family therapy (MFT) and community mental health counseling (CMHC) students.
Method: In total, 58 students participated in self-reported survey assessments at baseline and 6-month follow-up across the following domains: attitudes about substance use, interpersonal professional collaboration, trainee confidence, professional quality of life, and cross-cultural counseling competence.
The present study was aimed at describing the pig production system, farm management, pig movement, and existing biosecurity level of smallholders' pig production system in North East India. A cross-sectional survey of 1,000 pig producers in four districts (two urban and two rural) in core pig-producing regions of India, where ASF occurrence had been reported, was conducted. The mean pig population was significantly ( < 0.

Unlike other blood endothelial cells (ECs), sinusoidal ECs express high levels of VEGFR3. VEGFR3 and its ligand VEGF-C are known to support lymphatic growth, but their function in sinusoidal vessels is unknown.

This approach requires synthesis of glycans that remain close to carrier proteins upon conjugation, allowing T cell recognition and generation of B cells that produce high-affinity antibodies and memory toward target pathogens. In this work, we describe the syntheses of three disaccharides of the capsular polysaccharides from serotypes 4, 7F and 9V () as propargyl glycosides for use in this vaccine strategy.

Secondary aims were to assess whether patient demographics/comorbidities and/or joint-specific function were associated with postoperative mortality.
Methods: Patients undergoing THA (n = 717) and KA (n = 742) during a one-year period were identified retrospectively from an arthroplasty register.
Unlabelled: Advanced prostate cancers comprise distinct phenotypes, but tumor classification remains clinically challenging. Here, we harnessed circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) to study tumor phenotypes by ascertaining nucleosome positioning patterns associated with transcription regulation. We sequenced plasma ctDNA whole genomes from patient-derived xenografts representing a spectrum of androgen receptor active (ARPC) and neuroendocrine (NEPC) prostate cancers.
