Repurposing of drugs through nanocarriers (NCs) based platforms has been a recent trend in drug delivery research. Various routine drugs are now being repurposed to treat challenging neurodegenerative disorders including Alzheimer disease (AD). AD, at present is one of the challenging neurodegenerative disorders characterized by extracellular accumulation of amyloid-β and intracellular accumulations of neurofibrillary tangles.

Obesity, measured by BMI, waist circumference, and waist-to-hip ratio, significantly increases cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk due to structural and autonomic heart changes. Findings show that obese individuals exhibit prolonged QT and Tpeak-to-Tend (Tpe) intervals, suggesting delayed ventricular recovery and greater arrhythmia risk.

This study evaluated 19 newly identified mung bean landraces using biochemical traits and SSR markers, revealing genetic variability, CR disease reactions, and traits influencing yield and resistance, which provide valuable insights for breeding CR-resistant, high-yielding varieties.
Methods And Results: Mung bean landraces were evaluated for their response to CR using 4 biochemical parameters, and 10 SSR markers to assess genetic variability and disease resistance.
Homeotic transformation of tail to hindlimbs in anuran tadpoles is a manifestation of the reprogramming of positional information in the event of tail regeneration. Such discovery of homeosis is of particular interest considering its occurrence in a vertebrate under the influence of a morphogen which represents a self-organizing system in the context of developmental and regenerative studies. This article reviews homeotic transformation of tail to hindlimbs including pelvic girdles induced by retinoic acid (RA) /vitamin A palmitate during tail regeneration under the scope of self-organization and the role of blastema as an organizer.

The maxillary anteriors play the most prominent role in an individual's aesthetics, speech, and majorly psychology. The impaction of maxillary anterior teeth can be a challenging orthodontic problem that can be managed by interceptive orthodontics in early mixed dentition. In this particular case report, interceptive orthodontics alone may not bring desirable results because two problems need to be dealt simultaneously, namely, intraosseous crowding and midline shift due to impaction on the affected quadrant.

In environmental engineering, the elimination of hexavalent chromium from aqueous media is a noteworthy field of study. In this regard, nanoparticle science and technology have contributed significantly to the photocatalytic reduction of Cr(vi).

The optimal surgical approach remains controversial, with open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) using plates and screws considered the gold standard. However, concerns about soft tissue damage have led to the development of less invasive techniques, such as anterior bridge plating using minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis (MIPO).

Polymers such as soy protein isolate, poly(hydroxy alkanoate), poly(lactic acid), and thermoplastic starch are all synthetically modified bio-based resins and are costly. The cowpea-derived resin with the least chemical modification was used in this study as a matrix for the formation of composites with natural fibers at a lesser cost.

Methods: This prospective-longitudinal study included clinically diagnosed PWE on VPA or LEV monotherapy (for<3 months). At enrolment, body weight/composition, BMI were measured and blood samples were collected for assessing metabolic dysfunctions by estimation of serum insulin, insulin resistance [in terms of Homeostatic Model Assessment of Insulin Resistance (HOMA-IR)], leptin, adiponectin, lipid profile along with ASMs level.
In India, the prevalence of secondhand smoke (SHS) exposure is 29.5% in general and 11.2% at home.

High-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) is a challenging disease, especially for patients with immunologically "cold" tumors devoid of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs). We found that HGSC exhibits among the highest levels of expression and transcriptional signature across human cancers, which is strongly linked to diminished features of antitumor immunity. N-MYC repressed basal and induced IFN type I signaling in HGSC cell lines, leading to decreased chemokine expression and T cell chemoattraction.

Methods: This cross-sectional study included WWE of reproductive age (18-50 years) on antiseizure medications (ASMs) for at least three months before enrolment. Physical fitness was assessed using International Physical Activity Questionnaires (IPAQ) and Body composition analysis.
Introduction: The burden of hypertension is expected to double by 2025 and adherence to treatment has a key role in disease outcome. The World Health Organization defines adherence as the extent to which a person's behaviour of taking medication, following a diet and/or exceeding life-style changes, corresponds with the agreed recommendations of health care providers. The study tries to assess the level of adherence to medication and life-style modifications in hypertensive patients.
