Cordybislactone, a stereoisomer of the 14-membered bislactone clonostachydiol, from the hopper pathogenic fungus Cordyceps sp. BCC 49294: revision of the absolute configuration of clonostachydiol.

Cordybislactone (3), a new stereoisomer of the 14-membered bislactone clonostachydiol, together with its open ring analog (4), was isolated from the hopper pathogenic fungus Cordyceps sp. BCC 49294. The relative and absolute configurations of 3 were determined by chemical derivatizations, including the modified Mosher's method.

Maleic anhydride and chromone derivatives from the endophytic fungus BCC 54265 (Botryosphaeriaceae).

A maleic anhydride derivative, botryoanhydride (1), and a chromone derivative, botryochromone (2), together with three known chromones, eugenitin (3), 6-hydroxymethyleugenin (4) and 6-methoxymethyleugenin (5), were isolated from cultures of the endophytic fungus BCC 54265 of the family Botryosphaeriaceae. The structures were elucidated on the basis of NMR, HRMS and CD data. Compound 2 showed weak cytotoxic activity to cancer cell-lines.

Ascochlorin derivatives from the leafhopper pathogenic fungus Microcera sp. BCC 17074.

Two new ascochlorin derivatives, nectchlorins A (1) and B (2), together with eight known compounds (3-10), were isolated from cultures of the leafhopper pathogen Microcera sp. BCC 17074. The structures were elucidated on the basis of NMR spectroscopic and mass spectrometry data.

Pimarane diterpenes from the endophytic fungus Eutypella sp. BCC 13199.

Two new pimarane-type diterpenes, eutypellones A (1) and B (2), were isolated from the endophytic fungus Eutypella sp. BCC 13199. Cytotoxic activities of the pimaranes 1-5, isolated from this fungus, were evaluated.

Two new drimane sesquiterpenes, fudecadiones A and B, from the soil fungus Penicillium sp. BCC 17468.

Two new drimane sesquiterpenoids, fudecadione A and fudecadione B (1, 2), together with the known brefeldin A (3) and fulvic acid (4), were isolated from the soil fungus Penicillium sp. BCC 17468. Chemical structures were determined based on spectroscopic evidence including 1D and 2D NMR and mass spectral data.
