Background: Attitudes towards vaccines have affected COVID-19 vaccination programs in many countries. This study sought to evaluate the effects of general perceptions on the safety and health concerns and the confidence in COVID-19 vaccines on its uptake in Ghana.
Methods: A cross-sectional online survey was conducted between January and March 2021.
This study evaluated the relationship between water pH and the physicochemical properties of water while controlling for the influence of heavy metals and bacteriological factors using a nested logistic regression model. The study further sought to assess how these relationships are compared across confined water systems (ground water) and open water systems (surface water). Samples were collected from 100 groundwater and 132 surface water locations in the Tarkwa mining area.

It is known that these indicators are associated with disease causing organisms which are of great concern to public health. This study assessed the relationship between coliform bacteria and water geochemistry in surface and ground water systems in the Tarkwa mining area using logistic regression models.

Carbon fiber reinforced Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) acquires mechanical strength which is close to human bone, but PEEK is inert, which can affect the bone fixation and osseointegration during dental implantation. To improve the bioactivity of PEEK, surface modification with nitric acid (HNO) and calcium chloride (CaCl) were utilized in this work. As the results, the hydrophilicity of the treated samples is significantly improved with the reduced roughness and attached nitro-functional group on its surface.

This is because many solvents such as N, N-dimethylformamide and N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone that are capable of better dispersion of 2D materials are relatively toxic and nonvolatile. This work focused on the reasonable design and mixture of two or three less toxic and volatile solvents based on Hansen solubility parameters theory to demonstrate the excellent exfoliation of 2D materials particularly reduced graphene oxide (rGO) and black phosphorus (BP).

Compared with chemical reagent reduced graphene oxide, the graphene showed expanded sheets and vast surface area, which ensured the water contact angle of this synthesized sponge reached 150.0±2.
