Objective: To determine the preferences regarding injection, medication frequency and complexity of GLP1 receptor agonists among patients with type 2 diabetes, treatment-naïve for such drugs in Spain. Additionally, patients' willingness to pay according to these attributes was evaluated.
Methods: A discrete-choice experiment survey designed to evaluate patients' preferences over three attributes discriminating by age, sex and patients experience with previous injectable treatment was fulfilled by patients.

Materials And Methods: Isolated islets were additionally purified by handpicking. Ductal cells were purified by magnetic cell sorting and then clustered into ductal pancreatospheres (DPS).
Aims: To assess the prevalence of non-Caucasian patients in hospital admissions for onset of symptomatic diabetes mellitus during the 2003-2010 period, and to analyze the characteristics differentiating them from the Caucasian population at diagnosis and 2 years later.
Material And Methods: A retrospective, observational study.
Inclusion Criteria: Patients aged 18-40 years admitted for de novo symptomatic diabetes from January 2003 to October 2010.
Purpose: Mutations in genes encoding proteins from the tri-snRNP complex of the spliceosome account for more than 12% of cases of autosomal dominant retinitis pigmentosa (adRP). Although the exact mechanism by which splicing factor defects trigger photoreceptor death is not completely clear, their role in retinitis pigmentosa has been demonstrated by several genetic and functional studies. To test for possible novel associations between splicing factors and adRP, we screened four tri-snRNP splicing factor genes (EFTUD2, PRPF4, NHP2L1, and AAR2) as candidate disease genes.

In 33 morbidly obese women undergoing RYGB and 33 undergoing SG, plasma determinations of calcium, parathyroid hormone (PTH), 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH) D3), and insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) were made prior to and at 12 months after surgery. Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry was performed in all patients 1 year after surgery.

We analysed changes in bone mineral density (BMD) three years after surgery and evaluated the main determinants of the development of bone disease. Prospective study of 59 morbidly obese white women aged 46 ± 8 years.

We also aimed to determine whether vitamin D-deficient patients showed a greater inflammatory profile. In the observational study that the authors conducted, plasma concentrations of 25(OH) D, leptin, resistin, adiponectin and interleukine-18 were determined in 134 healthy men and 127 women.
