Native starches have a high potential for producing capsules by electrospraying despite still being little explored as biopolymeric material. Thus, the present study aimed to investigate the electrospraying capacity of native starches from different sources (cassava, corn, wheat, and sweet potato). The concentration of starch in the polymer solutions was varied from 3 % to 10 % (w/v) to investigate the impact of both starch source and concentration on the electrospraying process.

This study investigated the impact of different concentrations (15, 20, 25, and 30 %) of cassava starch and formic acid as a solvent on the characteristics of the resultant polymeric solutions and electrospun fibers. Morphology, size distribution, thermogravimetric properties, diffraction patterns, and relative crystallinity were evaluated for the electrospun fibers.

Natural fermentation with sun-drying is a modification that promotes the expansion capacity of starch, and its effects on potato starch have not been reported so far. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of the amylose content of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) starches and natural fermentation followed by oven or sun drying on its properties.

The gelatins exhibited distinct molecular weights and apparent viscosity values, leading to different entanglement behavior and nanofiber production. The electrospinning technique produced nanofibers with diameters from 47 to 274 nm.

For instance, enzyme immobilization can overcome this issue. In fact, chitosan-based nanofibers have outstanding properties, which can improve the efficiency in enzyme immobilization and the stability of enzymes over a wide range of operating conditions.

Multiple components of the extracellular matrix take part in this tissue rebuilding; however, the individual components involved have not been identified.
Methods: In the present study, the expression of extracellular matrix proteins and selected matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) activities in Fallopian tubes (FT) throughout the menstrual cycle were examined by PCR array, immunocytochemistry, zymography and bioinformatics.
