The present study, describes the antigenic characterization of a Brazilian isolate of Anaplasma marginale with appendage (tail). A panel of monoclonal antibodies (McAbs) was produced and tested by the indirect fluorescent antibody test (IFAT), ELISA and Western blotting, and used to characterize two isolates of A. marginale (one with appendage and another without appendage).
