Article Synopsis

The study investigated how different concentrations of glyphosate and AMPA affect the physiology of Aedes aegypti larvae, and whether the aquatic plant Salvinia molesta could reduce these toxic effects.
Exposure to glyphosate and AMPA resulted in sublethal physiological changes in the larvae, especially affecting their enzyme activity and respiration.
S. molesta demonstrated a capacity to absorb up to 49% of glyphosate and 25% of AMPA, leading to decreased toxicity in the water and less severe impacts on the larvae's health.
